500ml bottle from The Real Ale Warehouse, drunk 27/03/13. Clear, light gold. Pours a good, white head, good lacing, lasting very well. Med carbonation. Aroma - Light, dry, nice citrussy hops, grassy, zesty lemon & bit spicy. Bit of sticky, hop resin. Nice, cereallish pale malt & biscuit. Taste - Biscuity malt base, crisp with quite a lot of aroma hop flavours: Hops are quite fragrant & fresh, with zesty lemon citrus. Lightly spicy. Bitterness levels are a bit too light though - not much bitterness on finish. Nice, dry, light citrus flavours on aftertaste. Light body, with bit of creamy/oily mouthfeel. Refreshing & very drinkable, but still quite tasty, with nice lemony hops and aromas, but could do with a tad more bittering. Stuartyboy (1671) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - FEB 25, 2013
Cask at bow bar strong citrus flavour with grapefruit and hint of honey sweetness sharp bitter finish drying with taste of grapefruit pith which Lets down an otherwise nice beer Pith (160) - New York, USA - FEB 21, 2013
Aroma is hoppy with a hint of fruit reminiscent of apples. Pours light gold/dark straw with one finger off white frothy head. High carbonation, at first mildly hoppy with the slighted hint of sweetness that evolves into a stronger hop taste with apple becoming apparent and then being replaced by citrus. Late bitter finish well after swallow. tombyars (1702) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - FEB 19, 2013
Tasted this Golden Ale in the Salt Cot, Saltcoats (JDW) in February 2013. Cask, handpump dispense. Crystal clear pale straw in colour with a thin white head. Dusty citrus hop note long in the nose. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing throughout. Pale malts give a short biscuit base with loads of citrus fruit evident, strong lemon and lime zest giving refreshing bite. Citrusy hop resins compliment the malt well with dusty floral overtones. Finish is tart and dry with grapefruit pith adding astringency to the mouth. A decent session Golden Ale with a cracking name.

Cloudy pale yellow golden colour with small to average sized fluffy white head. ^
Fruity hoppy aroma with some sweetness and mild bitterness. Malty body. Flavour is moderately bitter with fruity and resiny hops. Nice balanced flavour with malty body. Tasty. They really can brew balanced and rich brews even with the low abv. I want more!
Cask-conditioned at the Gryphon, Bristol 27/11/2012. Golden with a slight white head. Aroma of grapefruit and mango with some orange blossom hops and a touch of pine. Flavour had more tropical fruit, slightly sweet malts and a lingering dry finish. Very drinkable.

Bottle. A superior example of a golden ale. Bright fruit and floral hops backed up with a sweet malt base. Good bitter finish.
