Golden ale with a head. Has a mild dry hoppy character and fruits are evident. Mid yellow with a head.

[cask at the Bow Bar, Edinburgh] Ever so slightly hazy golden pour, with a large, fluffy, white head atop. Aroma is orange, citrus peel, some earthy mustiness from the rye. Lots more citrus than I was expecting, though. This follows into the flavour, as the fruity notes from the hops come over more than the peppery rye elements. I’m not knocking it down for that – I bolted a half in a few minutes, this has the sessionability of Fyne’s best. Personally, I’d dial up the rye a little more. Other than that, a cracker [07052013]

Aroma: Faint aroma of bread, apricot and earth.

Appearance: Clear golden body with a medium off-white head that slowly fades. No visible carbonation. Superb lacing.

Taste: Grain, cereal and earthy notes. Apricot, pale malt with a light peppery spice. Low bitterness.

Palate: Medium to full body with a sticky mouthfeel. Flat carbonation.

Overall: This is well balanced, but flavour wise it’s not particularly distinctive or exciting. I really want Fyne Ales to brew a new beer that has the ’wow’ factor of Hurricane Jack or Jarl.

(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 26 Apr 2013) Pale amber colour with foamy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with apricots, crisp-bread and slightly floral hops. Malty, fruity taste with apricots, citrus, crisp-bread and a certain spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and quite nice.

Cask conditioned handpump Cask Pub & Kitchen London 22/04/13. A light golden beer almost yellow coloured with a white head and lace. Good citrussy hops in the nose with some sweet biscuity elements. It has that same balance in the mouth. A good body and a well constructed beer.

Cask @ Golden Rule, Edinburgh [190413]
Amber, clear, frothy white head, ok lacing
Aroma of soft hop resin, mellow citrus, touch of orange, soft fruity quite sweet malt, slight mix of strawberry(?) and orange
Taste as aroma, very subtle cereal, to be honest I wouldn’t have picked out the rye but it has this nice slightly waxy smoothness, pretty mellow, nice soft pale fruits
Palate - Medium body, soft sweet palate. Smooth finish, maybe getting a hint of cereal here
Overall - Not one of the top Fyne Ales, but it is easy going, has a good drinakbility - mellow and pleasant. Would probably do well as an addition to their bottled supermarket range

evergreen0199 (3460) - Northwood, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 18, 2013
Cask at Craft Beer Co, Islington, London. A golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Fruity, malty aroma. Tastes fruity, malty, rye, some caramel. Pleasant.

Craft Clerkenwell. Light haze on this pale gold beer. Little white head. Fresh light palate with fine carbonation. Pale malt has a little lager like character. Touch of rye spice. Great hops - light juicy floral tangerine with lesser touches of orange and lemon. Semi dry finish. Fresh and very drinkable, a delight!

JohnRMurdoch (5003) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - APR 12, 2013
Cask @ The State Bar. Golden amber colour, reasonable head. Spicy resin aroma. Resin grain flavour. Quite smooth. Not a bad example of this style of beer.
