Craft. Light haze on this amber beer. Little white head. Light palate, a little crispy and dry. Mild hops - mellow orange with a whisper of mango. Fair few minerals. Trace of juicy fruit bubblegum. Finishes dry with a carbonated nip and a little fresh hop spice.
cask at bow ... amber ... thin off white head ... light toffee ... light spice nose .... soft toffe malt ... light bitterness ... soft fruits ... no herbellness in this one Leighton (22821) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 23, 2012
Cask at CBC, London. Pours a mostly clear, strong gold with a frothy, white foam head. Aroma holds a bit of toasted malts, mild melon, berries, stray citrus. Light to medium sweet flavor with a nice, bready and toasty bready character, along with some toasted leaves, very faint grass, some orange citrus, hints of tangy lemon. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Well balanced on the finish, with a bit more toasty malts, some zesty citrus fruits, bread, melon, orange, very mild spicy pine and dry leaves. This is a very well rounded beer. The bitterness is perhaps just a touch too robust in the aftertaste, but aside from that it is very good.
