750ml Bottle at Home bought from Cotteridge Wines last year, drank whilst watching Friday the 13th on Netflix. As you do.
Poured a clear black with beige head of good size. Carbonation medium to start with. Aroma of Roasted malts, and a liquor nose.
Taste is roasted malts, hints of chocolate, cocoa, liquor, the taste got more in depth the further down the bottle. I had this beer on tap last year before rating but this was far better in the bottle, probably from the aging. Top Stuff. chinchill (5315) - South Carolina, USA - MAY 4, 2015
On tap at St. Andrews Brewing Co. brewpub.
Near black, and near opaque body with a fine, creamy tan head and ruby highlights at the edges. With backlighting a beautiful ruby color is revealed. The glass is left almost completely coated with sticky lacing.
Aroma: Very pleasing if hard to characterize. Sweet with some toffee and chocolate.
Flavor: delicious; lightly sweet; no burnt grains.leaves a very mildly bitter aftertaste. .
O: drinks like a light Imperial stout. Iznogud (4357) - CROATIA - APR 22, 2015

750ml swing top. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Clear, dark reddy brown. Thick, dense, lasting, sticky, beige head. Looks good. Quite savoury. Some soy. Cocoa. Red fruits. Woody, roast malts. Drinks fairly rich, and smooth. Has a tart, fruity bitterness, that complements the richness well. Finishes with more of the tart bitterness. Very drinkable. Leaves lovely lacing in the glass, too. Tasted from the tap on the 13/03/2015. Black colour with a foamy white head. Aroma of roasted malts, licorice, coffee and dark fruits. Taste is medium bitter with the roasted malts and the dark fruits. Strong aftertaste. Well balanced beer. Next one please! jinroh (2277) - ESTONIA - FEB 7, 2015
Pours dark mahagony, nice foamy fead, stays for a bit. Aroma is softly roasty, has some hops and dark fruits, light. Taste has also roast but also soft fruitiness. Roast lingers for long. Medium body, nice and does not feel too strong.Hoppy lingering aftertaste. Great beer, has even more that it’s abv seems to allow.
