UPDATED: SEP 29, 2013 Courtesy of Ben. Thx! 75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBSG II. BBF 25/05/2015. Truly beautiful label. Hazy orange with strangely absolutely zero head. Nose is orange, passion fruit, hoppy but more fructose sweet than hop bitter, sweet mandarins,… Taste is same sweet fruits bit slight bitter marmalade and orange peel in the back, toffee and light pine, hint of soap,… Not much carbonation. Bit more UK than USA. Quite an enjoyable IIPA with a far too cocky name. //// Had this again, cask @ Borefts 2013, very fresh, great stuff, even better. Upped the score from 4.1 to 4.4. Bottle - dark golden colour with large white head prone to lacing. Nice hoppy, zesty, fruity, pine, caramel aroma. Taste doesn’t disappoint, similar elements plus honey, grapefruit. It has a restrained, refined bitterness. Very well put together, very well balanced, lovely texture, nice smooth medium mouthfeel which is maintained into the lightly bitter finish. Excellent. Tap @ Borefts ’13. Golden orange colour with a small white head. Smells fruity, apricot, hoppy and fresh. Great smell. Taste is great also with aromas of hops, bitterness, fruity. Tastes fresh and great. Medium body, great carbo.

Fancy 750ml bottle from Great Grog. Been saving this one for a special occasion. Why not Christmas Day? Rich golden amber colour, good head. Aroma of tropical & citrus fruits, resin & biscuit. Dry hoppy citrus fruit flavour. Dry citrus aftertaste. More a big strong golden ale rather than a double IPA but none the worse for that.

keg at hanging bat. a little whisky heat in the nose? sweet berry and malt, dry finish with lingering sweetness. it’s the berry flavour that makes this one stand out. really well balanced. not for everyday but wow. great stuff. DavyK (153) - East Kilbride, SCOTLAND - MAY 14, 2017
Bottle from Good Spirits Co. Tangerine and roast pineapple (subtle) in aroma, bright orange-brown colour. Foamy head, dies quickly. Rather creamy mouthfeel. Massive, immediate hit of dry hops in the palate, moving into spice and citrus. Really dry overall. I absolutely love the character and depth of this. pivoveskotsku (201) - SCOTLAND - JUL 31, 2012
On cask. Clear amber, nice white head. Aroma of citrusy hops and malt. Taste is grapefruit bitterness, zest, some pine and hoppy goodness. Very drinkable at 7.5%. Have to say it probably needed just a tiny hint of sweetness to pack more of a punch, but I liked it a lot. Another top beer from Fyne Ales. ianwelby (1463) - SCOTLAND - APR 26, 2014
Amber pint with an aroma of citrus with just a hint of biscuit. Flavour is predominantly citrus/grapefruit but there’s a maltiness to it as well. elbernays (1626) - Dublin, IRELAND - MAY 30, 2014
UPDATED: MAY 31, 2014 750ml bottle from mchughs. Pours amber with white head which disappears. Aroma is peach, tropical fruits, orange, resinous hops. Syrupy sweet fruit flavours, with caramel malts hinting behind it. Mouthfeel is slick and ends in a short grapefruit bitterness. Body is full and has a lot of flavour. Carbonation is low. This is very nice balanced beer.
