COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Seasonal - Winter. Also available bottled.
November’s special: An American style winter warmer named ""Dark Conspiracy"". Eddie drafted in help in the form of Phil & Steve, a couple of well traveled brewers/geeks/writers. The three of us convened in the brewery for a rare Saturday brew yesterday armed with bags of Willamette hops from Oregon (yes, the USA) and a couple of sacks of coloured malts ’aromatic’ and ’melanoidin’, German & Belgian respectively. The brew went well and for a dyed in the wool brewing loner such as I am, I thoroughly enjoyed not only the company but the influence these two chums brought to my tuns. ’Dark Conspiracy’ is a real departure from my normal style and I sincerely hope you’re going to approve.

Chocolate, roasty. A tasty porter ... better and better as I get down the glass - I’ll have another. Well balanced. Chocolate malt flavour to the fore ... complex, late palate to savour. Delicious!

Theydon_Bois (20220) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - DEC 15, 2012
Cask at the Craft, Pimlico - 30/11/12. Very dark mahogony brown with a medium sized frothy tan head that retains well. Nose is roast malt, bitter chocolate, molaasses, touch of leather. Taste follows, milky chocolate and way less bitter than the nose suggests, light burnt toffee. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, nice and smooth on the palate leading to a bitter roasted finish. Decent porter.
