SarkyNorthener (5012) - West Bromwich (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - FEB 14, 2016
[email protected], Walsall. Dark brown beer withmedium head and good lacing. Aroma of roasted malts. Taste is roasted malts, some charcoal, dark fruit and a hint of chocolate. Good.

Parmenion777 (382) - Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 13, 2016
Pours a dark brown almost black colour with a plum purple tinge, a loose frothy beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, some hops and smokiness, a bit subdued. A bitter roasted malt, ashy taste, and long bitter finish.

3.3
The_Osprey (9723) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 11, 2016
Cask at The Railway, Putney as ’Gadds Dogbolter’. Black with a red hue, bubbly tan head leaves thick lacing. Aroma is airy, some smoke. Body is rounded, quite light, soft carbonation. Taste is smokey and roasted with charcoal biscuits and dark chocolate. A touch of fruity ester, some resin and apple. Quite dry and toasty. Finishes pretty aggressive bitter and dry. Decent but not easy to drink.

niquillis (2752) - Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 27, 2016
Cask at Wheatsheaf (JDW), Stoke. Pours black brown with tan head. Thin and rather plain porter. Not much going on really, touch of choc, roast.

3.6
berkshirejohn (6771) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 15, 2016
Cask at the Crosse Keys (JDW), City of London. Deep reddish chestnut with a loose beige head; rich chocolate malt aroma; smooth, with a an initial bitter chocolate taste, then changing to a sweeter milk chocolate; and a lasting dry finish. A rather good winter Porter.

Trappist1 (646) - Diest, BELGIUM - MAR 30, 2015
Dark brown with a beige head. Nose:Malts, grain, roasted, Malts, hops but very subdued. Taste: bit smoked, beafed up. But again malty with some malt sweetness. Finish is a bit bitter, but short lived. Dry, again some hints of hops but the bigger picture can hardly convince me.
