, Leicester. Dark beer with a frothy off white head. The aroma is mildly roasted, and the flavour is mainly malty with some roasted bitterness. Overall a nice rich porter.
500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Thought this might bring back memories of drinking in firkin pubs in the mid-to-late 90s.... it didn’t... but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Dark brown pour, no head. Aromas of toast and raisins. Taste is strangely thin, but had more roast notes and toffee. Nice to have tried again. WeissGary (286) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - DEC 3, 2013
Cask at Holyrood 9A. Decent beer; sweet, grainy, dry finish, very light warming taste. Not bad. ManVsBeer (10795) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 24, 2013
Very dark with an off white creamy head. Has some very light roasts but there is a sweetness evident too. jmgreenuk (9709) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - MAR 4, 2013
Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a deep black colour with a broken tan head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is peaty, but somewhat weak. The flavour is medium bitter with bags of liqourice, a little watery and a hint of sourness on the palate.

Pigs Ear! Clear dark brown beer. Light malty nose. Light semi dry palate. Sublte but bitter toffee. Hops provide mild fruit and not much bitterness.
Bottle from Kris Wines. Very deep black/brown colour, very small white head, looks quite carbonated. Chocolately malt aroma. Every so slightly watery and oily on palate. Dry bitterness very late on finish. Good solid porter.
