Hand-pulled pint in The Shrewsbury Hotel, Shrewsbury, a Wetherspoons place: on 27th Jan 2014. Light golden body with white foam for a head. I got hops, spruce and herbal notes in both the aroma and taste, the finish being dry and bittering: the beer grew on me as I supped it. I thought it boring and very average until half way down the pint, it then became more interesting and tastier somehow. Hides the alcohol nicely and not a bad brew at all.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Hazy pale yellow pour, small white head. Light aromas of cereal and lemon, little else. Taste similarly thin, with soapy holdings all over the place. Not a right lot else going on.

Cask. Pale clear yellow with minimal white head. Aroma and taste is of grain, pale sweet malt, honey and light flowers. Nice rounding bitterness.

Cask (Oliver Twist, Stockholm) - Golden in colour. Earthy aroma with notes of malt and dried fruit. Earthy taste with malt and hops vying for attention. Classic English ale and fairly tasty.

Gravicask @beer at the river 2013. Deep amber colour with a creamy head. Round full bodied flavour with a tang of hazelnut on grass, great session beer

Bottle. Pale amber. Bitter to start, then a malt biscuit thing going off. Sweetish finish. Ok.

Bottle; amber, white head; floral hop aroma; a straightforward hoppy bitter, with a little lime, a little salt; hops are sufficient to pucker the mouth; long, dryish finish; its all a little too austere for me.
