COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our tribute to the beers that once quenched the thirst of parched colonials at Admiral Gage’s East India station. This UK-style IPA is rich with caramel malt and overripe stone fruit character, balanced with a big bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours near clear light hazed deep orange gold with tight light off white head. Aromas of sweet malts; toffee, hints of pitted fruit. Hop aromas are earthy, lightly fruity (apricot) and lightly floral. A touch grassy and vegetal. Medium light body, lightly bitter, mainly overshadowed by a sweet malt toffee presence. Finishing a sweet, bitter and lightly crisp. Average aussie attempt at an english style IPA. The malt shovel version is a touch better.

Aromas of burnt treacle, hot sweaty asphalt and moldy cedar. Flavour wise very complimentary of the aromas. Stale, boiled lollies, burnt popcorn and something distinctly vegetable like the oppressivly strong iron flavour of overcooked Brussel sprouts.

33 cl bottle from Ale and Lager kuala lumpur. Pours hazy amber with big head. piney aroma with malty, piney taste. Bitter and a bit harsch. Ok.

330ml bottle. Pours a amber colour with a white head. Aroma: malt, citrus, pine and toffee aromas. Taste: Malts dominate the flavour balance complemented by mild citrus, grapefruit and pine flavours, followed by a bitterness that lingers on the palate. Resinous texture. Easy to drink and flavoursome. A good standard IPA. Was pleasantly suprised by this beer.

Clear light orange in colour with some white head. Aroma is of sweet biscuit. Taste is mostly hops, with some sweetness. Doesn’t linger. Very easy and smooth drinking. Not the biggest IPA, almost more of an XPA, but extremely sessionable.

A pretty decent sessionable IPA, good aroma and colour, Easy to fine and a good choice if you are looking for a easy to drink beer with plenty of hop flavour.

UPDATED: OCT 2, 2016 Decent IPA with great complexity of flavours. English style IPA is easy drinking with good malt backbone and hoppy finish. Very enjoyable and recommended.

Bottle from the local BWS. Quite basic English style IPA. Nothing offensive, nothing too exciting. Not bad.

(Bottle from BWS Broadbeach) Pours a deep amber-orange with a small lingering white head and a bit of lace. Aroma malt driven on the light toffee or burnt caramel side, dark crackers and biscuit, light orange, floral and earth notes. Flavour of dark caramel, biscuit, lightly toasted nuts, earth, slightly spicy herbal hops hops with a little orange and flowers. Semi-dry finish with lingering malt, oranges and peppery hop bitterness, slight grain too. Medium bodied with average carbonation. An okay English IPA, not really my style but it also doesn’t get the blood pumping.

Pretty much what it says in the deScription. A good beer that won’t let you down. As a first choice on the shelf I’m not sure. The malt is smooth with a good nose but missing some more hops for my taste. The honey tasting malt are the highlight making it rather more like an APA.

Bottle. Dark amber, small white head. Good value session ipa with good balance between biscuit/caramel malts and citrus/earth/pine hops with only moderate levels of bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
