Surprisingly good clarity deep gold body with good creamy white foam. Not a lot on the nose; lightly toasty malts, faint spice & touch of skunky oxidised character. Medium body, moderate carbonation, somewhat drying texture. Similarly with the nose, the palate doesn’t deliver much; pale toasty malts, slight cardboardy oxidised note, with faint woody spice & vegetal notes. Interesting concept, and nothing overly offensive about the beer, just somewhat bland, and it’s easy to see why breweries tend to jazz up their pumpkin beers with spices & the like.

500ml bottle. Poured a pale to deep gold colour, almost orange with a slight haze. Off white head which quickly disappeared. Aroma of gingerbread, nutmeg and spice. Light sweet taste. A bit of fizz on the tongue and a lingering sticky texture. Liquefied gingerbread bickies.

a very nice drop. there is no distinct pumpkin taste. more a malty bread flavour. would buy again.

motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - MAR 1, 2014
bottle, from a dan murphys on the central coast. amber with only the faintest haze; expected aroma of nutmeg and cinnamon; pleasant pumpkin pie character, though a touch subdued, a touch of ginger showing through. subtle and quite well done

Pours clear rusty gold colour with a tiny white head and cinnamon aroma/flavours. It tastes a bit like raisin toast, but that’s not a bad thing, give it a go.

Tap Sail & Anchor through the ’Judge’ tap that pushes the ale through chamber filled with chillies - spectacular chilli hit - light bodied ale with vegetal pumpkin flavour - the star is the chilli and it integrates so well with the pumpkin. Great novelty value.

Golden amber colour. Has some really nice, fresh spice with cinnamon and nutmeg. Has some pumpkin/vegetal flavours, but it works.

Dervock (1404) - AUSTRALIA - NOV 22, 2013
Bottle - pours gold with decent white head, some lacing. Cinnamon, nutmeg and hints of caramel malt. Bit of dryness in the finish. Mild spice upfront. Watery mouthfeel.
