Medium aroma of malts, caramel, Belgian yeast, fruit, hops and spices.

Appearance: 4
Hazy/turbid golden/amber beer with a slight/medium off-white head.

Taste/Palate: 7/4
Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, Belgian yeast and fruit; ends slightly bitter and dry with hops and spices.

Overall: 15
This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. Lovely to see a Belgian beer brewed with the prequel of Hops. I still mentioned them though, since the taste is quite similar. Great appearance and palate as well, just a lovely beer overall.

Bottle at home. Pale yellow color, white head. Not much aroma. Taste is good, a nice blond beer.

Very special, with its herbal note and slight bitter/hoppy taste, although I am not sure if its more hops or herbs. An interesting alternative to the standard Ale.

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2017 At Het Spijker, Ghent. Pours clear golden with a big, foamy, white head. The aroma contains - obviously - ’gagel’ (Bog Myrtle or sweetgale), herbs, spices, hops, yeast and pepper. It tastes light to medium bitter with a spicy onset, and light sweet. Some pepper in the rather astringent finish. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Different in taste than other beers, but I can’t say that I enjoyed it a lot.

Bottle at the sister. Hazy yellow amall white head. Nose is yeasty. Taste is low piney notes, low bitterness. Alcoholic warmth, little watery mouthfeel. It goes...

Flesje gedronken bij d’n Bock. Beetje troebel goudgeel bier met oranje gloed. Aroma en smaak is kruidig en fruitig. Nasmaak is iets bitter.
