pours a dark brown with aromas of fruit and nuts. taste of toffee, molasses and strong spice. finishes with some malt and toasted caramel.
For me, just the right amount of hint and it disappeared as quickly as it showed up. Definitely a seasonal option but a tasty one if you don't mind trying different experiences. plaugher (491) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - SEP 29, 2016
500ml bottle. Gorgeous amber pour, with soapy white head, some retention. Very light spice, bananas. Not noticing much in the way of pumpkin or your standard spices. Non-descript. Flavour falls flat. Thin, slightly sweet, not much in the way of complexity. Slightly soapy. Not much to it; better local options available this time of year. Bierdimpfe (640) - Quebec, CANADA - SEP 17, 2016
Clear copper color with a good amount of bubble activity. Slightly creamy light brown 2 finger head, lasting around 10 minutes, and making very strong legs. Flavors of pumpkins, roasted grains, toffee, honey, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, herbal spices. Bready and nutty. Highly sugary while heavily bitter with a little sharpness. Slick medium body with delicate yet powerful carbonation. Medium strength finish with a long coat of malt, faint grass, heavy on the red ale spices, and some peppercorn. Overall this is a good quality craft. Good flavors that are a little faint, while the mouthfeel is way too spicy, thus lacking some freshness. Feels more like an red ale version with minimal actual pumpkin flavors. Tranquillity (2533) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 9, 2016
Draft at the brewery. Crusted with cinnamon and sugar which may effect the review. Red body, big beige head. The aroma is cinnamon and pumpkin, the taste is spicy, surprisingly sour and quite balanced. Not my cup of beer but a good one if you’re into the style. (Rating #6613)

Pours a clear copper reddish color with a large tan head. Barley wheat malt nose with some nutmeg and cinnamon. You also get a bit of brown sugar in the nose. Medium sweetness, medium bitterness and it finishes with a small sweet taste. Not overly sweet. Pretty well balanced. Surprisingly very good. jdobbs (411) - New Brunswick, CANADA - SEP 17, 2014
First timer for me, a lot better than most ratings maybe the 2014 version is different? Strong clove nose, pumpkin and brown sugar underneath. Cloudy orange, thick head with little retention. Pumpkin spice is dominant, but cloves are also prominent. Light body, alcohol not noticeable. Dry, not overly spiced. While pumpkin ales don’t lend themselves to revisiting, this is quite sessionable. Hidden_Pooch (518) - Stratford, Prince Edward Island, CANADA - JUN 1, 2014
Soapkin ale. If they could catch the in between tastes of spices, malt, and pumpkin this beer would have a higher rating, but the aftertaste was all soap. It just dominated this beer. I tried it when it first came out on tap, maybe they fixed it now that they are bottling it. BrewGoblin (632) - Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, CANADA - MAY 26, 2014
I really wanted to love this, pumpkin anything is one of my favourite flavours. This beer was alright at best but there was always some soapy, astringent quality to it. It did had a nice flavour until that junk taste kicked in, ginger, allspice and roasted pumpkin, brown sugar and caramel malts. Very lightly hopped. Fix the soap issue and it’d be a pretty swell swill. rejtable (2849) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 13, 2014
Pours light brown/orange with a large soapy head. Nose is gingerbread. Notes of pumpkin pie, ginger bread, cereal. Quite drinkable. Taste is medium sweet light bitter. Light body with medium carbonation.
