Clear red amber, white head. Tints of herbs, red fruit, licorice, caramel malts, grain, alcohol. Crosling (1864) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - OCT 4, 2004
This was such a neat beer to be able to try. I sampled this on the back of a bus traveling from Fontainbleau, France to Dijon, France. I bought the beer at a small wine shop in central Fontainbleau and even got a free glass with the brew. Courpalay, where the beer is brewed, is a small village Northeast of Fontainbleau.
Nose is distant, but showcases faint notes of brown sugar, cherries, strawberries and plums.
There is a dryness throughout the entire palate with lovely notes of cherries, oak, peppers, grapes and plums. Simply fantastic. Rustyham (1836) - St. Petersburg, Florida, USA - SEP 6, 2010
Lots of sediment, sickly amber color. Aroma is sweet and malty, flavor is a very bubbly amber malt with butter. Typical amber ale, but slightly lighter. Bottle from Mmmckay at the PreLabor Day Beer Tasting. Barrios (1243) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 5, 2010
Pours a beige , fizzy, lasting head with a hazy, murky brown body. Aromas of red fruit and yeast. Flavor is red fruit, sweet, lightly toasted malt, hops to balance. Finish is a bit dry. MmmcKay (1052) - Brentwood, Tennessee, USA - SEP 5, 2010
Doesn’t really taste like a beer Biere de Garde. More like an ordinary amber ale. Malty and sweet. Not offensive in the least. But nothing to remember. OK

Off-white head on an amber body. A good brew, not too bitter, well balanced. I got a 75 cl bottle, and I drank it over several days. It does not survive the fridge very well. Overall, a very drinkable beer, but not the best Ambrée I have tasted. Beertobealive (576) - Courbevoie, FRANCE - DEC 26, 2013
Longing fat white head with flowers aromas. Body is thick and light copper. Taste of light malt and spices with good balance of hops and bitterness.

Sympathique artisanale francilienne ayant une belle amertume. Bouteille achetée chez La cave à bulles, Paris, France. Zilb (357) - Fontenay Sous Bois, FRANCE - DEC 29, 2015
A pretty solid beer. I’d drink it when it becomes warm if I were you. Strange advice? Strange things come from french attempts at beer.
