Poured a slightly hazed deep amber color with a medium sized cream colored head. Yeasty anbd doughy aroma with sweet caramel notes. Light fruit. Malty sweet flavor that dries out fast. Medium bodied. oldrtybastrd (5003) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 11, 2010
Bought this at the La Cave à Bulles in Paris. Pours a great amber color not like most biere de Garde. Light but strong. Caramel sweetness but not overpowering. Excellent beer. Barrios (1243) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 5, 2010

Cloudy brown beer. Frothy white head. Soft frothy palate. Creamy malt with with a mildy sour caramel streak. Dry soft finish with a trace of aniseed. Typical French beer - soft and sweet and that’s fine by me!
Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are yeast, fruits, nuts, caramel, malt, hops and notes of candy sugar.

Off-white head on an amber body. A good brew, not too bitter, well balanced. I got a 75 cl bottle, and I drank it over several days. It does not survive the fridge very well. Overall, a very drinkable beer, but not the best Ambrée I have tasted. MaartenRF10 (1959) - Wageningen, NETHERLANDS - DEC 28, 2012
Clear red amber, white head. Tints of herbs, red fruit, licorice, caramel malts, grain, alcohol. eyesandsmiles (179) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - APR 12, 2007
A pretty solid beer. I’d drink it when it becomes warm if I were you. Strange advice? Strange things come from french attempts at beer.
