COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Tap at the brewery. Light orange, medium hazy with a small white head. Aroma is citrus. Taste is mango and citrus.

October 27, 2015 - at Gainsbourg, on draught. Cloudy pale orange-gold with a huge white creamy head. Terrific aroma - floral and cannabis pungency with just a hint of citrus juicy sweetness, maybe a little cucumber. Taste follows - hides the 7% nicely, it’s a tad sweeter than the aroma with more floral pungency and less MaryJane character - maybe a little minty/peppery. Average body, nice and airy - medium-long non-coating bitter finish. Solid stuff.

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some good amount of lacing. Aroma of floral hops notes with some citrusy notes. Taste is a mix of floral hops with nice citrusy hops light residuals sugar with some discernable bitterness. Body is full with good carbonation. Solid IPA but not as juicy and floral as I was expecting.

Keg at Gainsbourg, Gatineau. Clear deep golden, mid sized head. Dank grapefruit and lychee aroma. Mid sweet with medium-full body and dense, rounded mouthfeel. Powerful hops bring grapefruit, pine and tangerine. Resinous very bitter finish.

[Bottle (500ml)] Pours a cloudy yellow-gold with lots of sediment and a large lasting frothy white head. Good amount of lacing. Nice catty and citrusy hop aroma along with some fruit and alcohol. Flavour of citrusy hops, catty hops, bready malt, tropical fruit and a finish which is quite bitter and a bit boozy. Medium bodied. Pretty good.

Bottle. Some suspended sediment. Mild aroma with floral and sweet citrus notes. There in the flavour as well. Something at the end my buddy described as Earl Grey tea. More bitterness than you'd think from the IBUs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fresh bottle from Broue Ha ha in Gatineau. Simcoe emphasized version. Decent IPA but not exception. Their DIPA is worth seeking out though.

(1868-020716)

Gluepot (737) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 28, 2016
A straw coloured body topped by a fluffy pure white head with solid lacing. The nose is punchy and fresh with sweet malt, tropical fruit and pine elements. Another great IPA from Gainsbourg. Solid bite to the grapefruit, pine and tropical fruit. Juicy and lush, the citrus, melon and mango mix well with a touch of honey and pine. Funkiness, maybe from the yeast, add an unusual IPA twist. Really tasty.
