2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
28th September 2012: dodgy lager/pilsner tasting (at home). Blue 500ml can (no mention of Export on it) of GALAHAD Premium lager (3.9%): best before 02/2013. poured (three times) into my lovely old DAB mini-tankard.
Golden, bright and light: it looked every inch a lager/pilsner, even down to the typical disappearing head of pure white bubbles that turn into a collar and wisp before your fist sip.
No real smell, some grainy traces maybe but otherwise odourless: gets my standard 3 score for a non-smelling lager/pilsner.
The taste was crisp and semi-sweet: a long way from good, but also a long way from being bad. This is just a cheap supermarket brew (Aldi) and if treated as such doesn’t disappoint.
Can from Aldi, Washington. Pale straw coloured with a thick white head. It has a gentle malty and grassy flavour followed by a slight soapy and bitter-sweet finish. Ok. Galahadcansarethebest (1) - Bavaira, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAY 23, 2017 does not count
This is the single best beer I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. Me and the boiz would be drinking this stuff like water. Some say when you drink 40 cans in one sitting the Galahad god’s will come down and show you the meaning of life. A box of amber leaf must be smoked with every can to give the user a taste sensation like no other. deanso (10128) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - APR 5, 2017
50cl can from Aldi.
Medium White head. Clear golden pour. Metallic aftertaste. Crap but cheap. bobblackcoffee (44) - - FEB 21, 2016
£1.99 for four now at Aldi. Bloody cheap. Bloody shit beer. However, I can’t tell the difference between this and all other standard mass produced lagers. I can’t always be paying for premium beers, so Galahad will tie me over for a brief period, while I’m awaiting the next proper ale. Suitable beer for supping whilst thrash hardcore’s raging from the record player. Hey, at least it’s not Carling! I HAVE SINNED!!! liver_failure (2) - Graveyard, - FEB 18, 2016 does not count
Aroma of Aluminium. Tastes of Aluminium. A cheap and cheerful beer that does the job if you don’t mind getting Alzheimer’s from the Aluminium. Moderation is the key.

Do not listen to negative comments about this beer: if these people got served this beer from a fancy bottle/can that cost £5 from a bottle shop/bar they’d rate it highly (as they are pretentious). This beer is very very tasty, never mind the price, this is one of the nicest canned lagers I’ve had. It’s simple and straight forward but incredible in flavour. The can doesn’t look great and it doesn’t have a thick head but it has the substance where it counts. Its £2.04 for 4 cans, look no further. I am drinking one now. lokis333 (499) - Biržai, LITHUANIA - NOV 18, 2015
Found at my parents house. Pale wheat yellow color with very weak white foam. Aromas very weak of malt and aluminum. Palate weak, watery light no aftertaste. Tastes of malt and that is about it. Overall, very glad I just found it and not bought it! (To be fair it is just for the list) SarkyNorthener (4608) - West Bromwich (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - OCT 10, 2015
Can from Aldi, great Barr. Golden beer with medium head. Aroma of sweetcorn and metallic. Taste is sweetcorn, pale malts and a little hop bitterness. Not great. Imsodrunknow (1) - - AUG 10, 2015 does not count

Pretty solid unspectacular lager like Carlsberg or something. You can buy something like 230 cans of this for a fiver down a well known cheapo German supermarket. The lager equivalent of Stoke City
