Cask at the brewpub. Reddish copper colour. Hay aroma. Sweet, fruity and caramelly. Boldly malty with near full body and a somewhat raw mouthfeel . Distinct very salty finish. Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 14, 2008
(Cask) Clear, dark amber with a lacing, off-white head. Lovely fruity aroma. Quite full-bodied with a soft mouth feel and a low carbonation. Lots of dry caramel notes - perhaps even a little burned. Some fruit and vitamin notes. A fairly bitter finish. A very solid ESB. 070208 Oakes (19409) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 10, 2013
Copper colour and the head died. Very spicy aroma - cumin, five spice, and maybe some D. Malty palate, very spicy, caramel, some juiciness in the finish. jercraigs (11071) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 28, 2016
2016-05-31. Lightly hazy dark red-amber body, headless. Aroma of caramel and toffee malt, lightly fruity notes. Flavour is malty up front, lightly toasty malt has a very English impression to it. Average to light bodied palate, no carbonation. Under carbonated, not necessarily at it’s best, just okay. 5-6/3/5-6/3/12+ On cask at Galbraiths, Auckland, NZ.

Cask at the brewpub. Pours a deep brown amber with a small eggshell white head. Sweet malts and caramel on the nose, as well as aromatic hops, fruit, and a rich earthiness. Hoppy, earthy, sweet flavor. Medium bodied. Bitter- the best of the three bitters I tried at Galbraith.
