Draught at the brewpub. Clear golden. Grassy hops are there, but it’s dominated by bready malt. It’s medium bodied with clean mouthfeel and medium bitterness. It’s more like those modernized, clean Czech lagers, than the good old ones with loads of diacetyl and lots of saaz hops. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 14, 2008
(On tap) Clear, golden with a creamy, white head leaving a neat curtain of laces. Aroma of malt and perhaps a whiff of flowers. Medium body with a solid, lightly sweet malt base and a dry finish with a surprisingly discreet bitterness. Not quite as characterful as could be expected from a Bohemian Pils. 070208 Travlr (24825) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 22, 2013
Draft at the source. Clear golden color, white edge head. Aroma of white pepper and straw. Taste is clean and crisp. phaleslu (10267) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 19, 2009
Draft at the brewpub. Pours a rich clear gold with a whit head. Weak aroma- Euro hops, grass, malt, citrus. Flavor is grainy, with hops, grass, and a mild sweetness. Light bodied, with a dry finish. Not bad for the style, but probably the least impressive one I tried from Galbraith. JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 1, 2005
On tap. Pale golden colour, thick white fluffy head. Nice strong grassy/earthy hop aroma. Some thin pils caramel malts. Flavour is quite grassy and earthy with a moderate but very clean bitterness.

On my visit to Galbraith I took a pour of three cask ales and found them all acidic and bile-like, one of them fooled me and I got a half pint to sit with but it didn’t take long to find the stomach acid in that beer either. Sadly the Bohemian Pils was no different: subtly acidic and sour with plant matter / leaf astringency, lemon, cheese rind, laundry detergent and armpit sweat... I mean it’s like animal sweat, musk, feces, the whole game-y experience of walking up to a pungent deer bed. Carbonation goes totally acidic like stomach bile, there’s solvent overload on the back palate. Scratching my head how the Munich Lager (Pilsner) from bottle is worthy of a mid-to-high 3 while the Bohemian Pils fared so poorly. skortila (5873) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - MAY 25, 2014
On tap or cask @ Galbraiths’, Auckland. New Zealand holiday 2011-12. Old notes. The aroma is a bit citric fruity and slightly grainy. Clear, golden coloured beer with a thin, white head. The taste is light-moderate bitter, has hints of grassy hops, is a bit citric, ’pale malty’. Crisp, clean and nice. TimE (5817) - Tokyo, JAPAN - OCT 24, 2012
light grassy, moderate amount of biscuit character and a moderately bitter finish. A touch unbalanced and sour but still a great beer TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 2, 2007
Draught at the brew pub, a clear and bright gold with a bubbly white head. A clean hoppy citrus aroma. The palate is quite smooth for a pilsner at first, but then becomes more dry and grainy - which I think dominates the flavours that could come from the malt and hops. On tap at the brewpub. Served a golden color with a nice head that fades to some lacing. Aroma of some citrus and bit of malt sweetness and fresh grain. has a clean scent. Taste has a nice crispness with some malt sweetness and a bit of grain. nice bitterness and a clean finish. Fairly light body, crisp and quite refreshing. Enjoyable beer that is quite sessionable.
