(@ Galbraith’s Alehouse, Auckland, NZ; Called "New Old Burton" at 7.3%)
2016-05-31. Crisp orange body, modest creamy beige head. Aroma is floral and lightly yeasty, with mild fruit notes. Flavour is fairly fruity and bitter, sort of astringent in the finish. Mild malt character below is slightly odd, sort of doughy or biscuity but not quite? Not sure how best to describe it. Average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Just okay. 6/4/6/3/13 On tap at Galbraiths as ’The New Old Burton 7.3%’, Auckland, NZ. kempicus (343) - Bakewell, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - OCT 24, 2008
The only dissapointment from my recent trip....not that it was bad...there was just none left. Not to worry i’ve had many pints of this last year and never got around to rating! This beer is dangerous....6.3% and yet so easy to drink! My kind of beer really, quite a full mouthfeel but with a clean clearing hop bite to the finish. beerledgend (1196) - Waterloo, Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 13, 2008

Pint pulled at the brewpub (the last one of the cask), a clear copper with a creamy white head. A beautiful floral hop aroma with some caramal. Fruity and floral on the palate at first, then a very earthy bitterness in the finish, with alcohol making more of a presence.
