Golden-amber colour, medium-sized white head. Fruity but harsh aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Some fruits, bready, even a bit grainy. Average pale ale in the last part of its shelf life = nothing special.
330ml bottle. Barely clear, yellow-ish, deep golden colour with average, fluffy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Herbal-grassy, hoppy aroma, hints of mint, menthol, eucalyptus, a touch of silage. Taste is herbal-grassy hoppy, hints of mint, menthol, eucalyptus, you even get the cool feeling of mouthwash. 2016-05-31. Lightly hazy golden orange body modest off white head and lace. 3+ Aroma is a bit yeasty, light grain and green hops. Flavour is moderately fruity throughout, light bitterness, finishes with green hops and veg in a way I don’t care for. Average bodied palate, moderate carbonation. 3+ 6/3-4/6/3/13 On tap at Galbraiths, Auckland, NZ. adasko (2233) - Poznan, POLAND - MAR 23, 2016
Amber color, tiny slightly off-white head, nice lacing. In aroma malty background and a slight but thick note of orange fruits mixed with fanta. It’s actually quite pleasant. In taste it’s the same, at least very similar, but it’s all very even out. Isn’t very plane, not much to taste. Very drinkable, session beer. I could drink a lot of pints with it. nickd717 (4996) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 10, 2015
Draft at Galbraith. Clear bright pale golden color with a lacy whIte head. Citrus hop aroma with hay and grains. The flavor is insanely dry and balanced with a nice medium bitter hop finish. Clean and crisp, very drinkable Earplay (51) - NEW ZEALAND - MAY 28, 2014
Nice hop aroma on opening which gives way to more of a caramel malt. Taste is balanced towards malt with a hint of honey coming through more as beer warmed . Medium bitterness, full bodied mouthfeel. Overall found the hop/malt balance a little confused but a pleasant enough ale for a summer session. sm89walt (2082) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - FEB 6, 2014
Keg - Galbraith’s, Auckland. Poured with a slight haze to a deep amber coloured body and a fine, lasting creamy white head. Aromas of grassy hops, spicy citrus, grapefruit, marmalade and then a base of caramel and biscuit malt. Medium body, medium carbonation, perhaps a tad soapy in terms of bitterness but clean with a lingering finish. Malt-driven mid-palate with good bittersweet balance start to finish and fresh, bright aromatic hop qualities.
