Review from written notes, scoring to style
Deep saturated orange color, fairly bright and clear.
Sticky collar of white foam that leaves some lacing on the way down. Herbal and citrusy hop smell, dried orange peel from the Cascade and Amarillo. Moderately bitter with some citrus and caramel notes. Dry resiny finish. Meduim bodied, approaching a DIPA in terms of the abv range (7.5%), which was thankfully hidden. Pretty tasty, could be a little more aromatic and punchy with the hops. Bartender said they ran out for a week or two recently due to a scarce hop supply... better stockpile! Reviewed on: 08-04-2011
Draft. Pours deep amber with white head and lacing. Citrus aroma. Animal cracker malt with orange citrus and floral notes. GranvilleTim (1857) - Granville, Illinois, USA - APR 2, 2016
Golden amber pour with an off-white head. Aroma is fruity hops, a little dankness and spiciness to it. Taste is fruity hops with a solid backbone to it. Rather tasty! Nice lacing. A beer worth repeating. HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - MAR 3, 2016
16 oz. can. Hazed orange pour with a small dish soapy head. Whispy lacing. Pine and citrusy aroma with some generic caramel malt notes. Flavor is fruity with medium bitterness. Caramel malt backing. Lively carbonation with medium bitterness. Finishes with lingering bitterness. Pretty nice. edwardbass (861) - Illinois, USA - JUN 9, 2015
Cloudy light copper color with a pinky-sized white head. Aroma is malty, some pine. Citrus and pine hops that are dominated by, as they describe it, a SERIOUS malt backbone. The malt is a bit too overwhelming, and distracts from the hops with the imbalance. ABV is either obvious to me or the malt sweetness is making me think I detect it. It’s a decent IPA, but not one I care to retry after this 4 pack of 16 oz cans is gone. drfabulous (8663) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - MAY 20, 2015
16 ounce can thanks to Bradley. Orange pour. Malty with fruit esters and some pine in hop taste. Decent.

Draft. From notes. Tropical fruits and citrus dominate. Some oddly sweet malt balances it out. Good brew. wlajwl (7117) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - NOV 8, 2014
Aroma is citrus, candy/fruit and spices/slightly perfumed. The flavor is citrus, light tropical fruit, mild hop resin, malts a tart/bitter finish. cbfobes (2887) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - AUG 29, 2014
Poured from 16oz can, pours a dark gold in color, aroma is grassy have some slight better bitterness, flavor has a bitter front end and slight fruit finish, not bad. hayduke (5696) - Eureka, California, USA - AUG 4, 2014
This 16 oz can came to me from the glories of beer trading. It poured a cloudy amber-orange with a foamy beige head and excellent lacing. Nose is citrus and pine hops. Medium plus body and a resinous mouth feel. Strykzone (7713) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JUN 29, 2014
The flavor shows the pine pine and citrus that was in the aroma but I get some tropical fruit. The finish is flavorful and biter. Really good beer;
Pint at Shakers in Ottawa. A thin off white sits on a beer that is golden with a bit of copper hue. Light lacing. This begins with a big citrus and tropical fruit line. Pineapples. Caramel grows and leads by the finish. Nice beer.
