Cask at The Doric Arch. Back from the dead! It pours clear golden - amber with a small white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, juicy, lemon parfait, toasty grain and biscuit. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter - sweet, oily, lemon parfait, zesty, pithy, straw, damp grass and white pepper with a drying finish. Light - medium body and soft carbonation. It’s pretty so - so. Biscuit and lemon golden ale.a bit sweaty though. thepatrickman (1503) - Lewes, East Sussex, ENGLAND - JUL 11, 2017
On cask at the Lewes Arms. Not sure why this is listed as "retired", as it was definitely a fresh cask. Extremely good stuff -- it’s light and crisp and moderately hoppy. Earthy, floral English hops dominate. Reminds me of TT Landlord.
