09/06/2007 - Pale golden yellow body with a medium frothy white head that fully diminishes in a short period of time. Skunky aroma with light saaz in the background. Sugary grassy flavor. 3/1/4/2/6 - 1.6 YourDarkLord (1800) - Urbana, Illinois, USA - AUG 30, 2007
Gallo or Famosa: a shitty beer by any other name is still a shitty beer. This is yet another disappointing beer sold at The Corkscrew. Almost colorless with dismal head. Aroma was of the spare tire section of my trunk. Weak and watery. Flavor was skunky. Doesn’t even quailfy as a Lawnmower Beer, other than to use it to wash the lawnmower. Cheesy and malty aroma. Some initial foam, light colour. Some malty and salty taste, a tad like Saaz hops. Not too drinkable, marginal overall. SDalkoholic (2375) - Linda Vista, California, USA - AUG 7, 2007
12 oz bottle.Dont read this is you are about to drink this beer. Pours as a piss gold color with the junk you could expect from urine. Aroma is a typical corn and rice fake additive profiel and so is the flavor. Horrible stuff to be put into a bottle i cant believe local people havent refused to buy this stuff. It’s funny how far off the commercial description is from the actual product. This beer is downright awful. Aroma of staleness. Pour was a flat gold with no head. Taste was like carbonated ass with rice and corn. Terrible.

12oz. brown bottle, labelled as "Famosa". Very light straw colour, holds a small creamy white head. Aroma is grassy, just short of skunky with some light sweet malt sneaking in. Taste is sweet, grainy and grassy. Light grass hop lingers in the finish. Carbonation is fairly strong, body is light. mjg74 (3093) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUL 12, 2007
Bottle from World Market. Light yellow color upon pouring. Acidic grainy aromas. Flavor is grassy with a hint of sweet maltiness. Drinkable, but not very good. MrBunn (2807) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 7, 2007
Can... sampled in Managua. Pours into the glass with a light straw color and a soap bubble head that dies down quickly. Aromas are of sweet grain (corn) with a little bit of a grassy/hay presence. The head is completely gone now, leaving nothing but a few rogue bubbles wandering around. Flavor is weak and grassy... that’s about it...Very watery and a little bit of sweet malt comes through, but not going to win any awards with me. cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - JUL 6, 2007
12 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquor - Pours a clear light golden color with a 3/4 finger thick white head. Lively carbonation with tiny bubbles. Aroma is sweet grain and grassy hops. Flavor is lightly sweetened grain with some nice hop bitterness. Light to medium body. A nice Pale lager from Central America. Worth a try. obguthr (6298) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - JUN 18, 2007
Hay aroma. Light golden color, medium head, no lacing. Pretty flavorless, although there is a tinge of mulberry. Sorry folks, that’s all the flavor there appears to be.
