Bay Ale is a copper coloured, traditional ale with malt and hop aromas and a smooth and well-balanced flavour.
Hoppy, yet malt-forward this ale strikes a great balance. Using Northern Brewer, Bobek and Willamette hops alongside a strong malt backbone this beer is both for savoring and thirst-quenching, depending on your mood.
Speciality Malts - Brown, Crystal & Munich
Hops (33 IBU) - Northern Brewer, Bobek and Willamette(Note: Change of Hop from Perle to Northern Brewer)

Sample at Oslo in Galway. This beer pours a clear amber color with a medium off-white head that dissipates quickly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt and slight hops. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt and grassy hops. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall. Slightly above average overall.

Bottle, pours a nice clear deep amber with an off white head. Malty with some hops, rather boring really.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Magnum and Williamette hops. Aroma is bready malt, caramel, some toffee with a slight hint of dried fruits. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Body is medium. A bit dull this one, mostly just crystal malts, not bad but it lacks character.

Bottle from Ninas Mini Market. Clear ruby/amber body with tiny flecks floating beneath a medium off-white head. Lively fizz. Aroma of stewed apple, caramel, tea and wood. Flavour of toffee, woody malt and earth. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Sweet and very enjoyable - much better than previous reviews suggest, which admittedly are from over three years ago. This bottle was hopped with Magnum and Williamette.

BlackHaddock (6978) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - NOV 14, 2016
500ml bottle between three on an Irish tasting evening at home on 11th Nov 2016. Slight red hue to the deep amber body, off-white head on all three glasses. A little more malty aromas and flavours in this Irish Red (as youd expect), some decent hop action going on too though. So toffee and caramel verses a grassy/woody, bittering hop combination.

Caramel and bread malts very light toasted malts. Dark, hazy brown, small, creamy, white head. Light sweet. Intense grain and cereal malts, bread and caramel, light bitterness coming up in the finish. OK Irish Ale, nice maltiness throughout. Keg at The Black Sheep, Dublin.

AshtonMcCobb (6397) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 1, 2016
Bottle from Dicey Reilly in Ballyshannon. Appearance - deep amber to brown with a lovely fawn head. Nose - red fruit, wood and biscuits. Taste - more of the same. Some orange fruit too. A touch of popcorn on the finish. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry balanced finish. Overall - exactly as an Irish Red Ale should drink. Enough taste to keep it interesting while being extremely drinkable.
