Milk Chocolate Stout
Decadent and complex while remaining wholly refreshing and drinkable. This Stout is brewed with Milk Sugars and Chocolate to give rich flavours and body that goes down smooth.
Taste of Chocolate and smooth mouthfeel, due to the additions of Dark Chocolate and Milk Sugars (Lactose) respectively. While dark, rich and decadent this beer finds balance and subtlety in its lightness and drinkability. Great for matching with sweeter dishes and intense desserts.

From tap. POurs dark brown to black, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate. Lingering rich malt flavoured, coffee and chocolate notes. Lingering bitterness swept through the rich malt base into a medium, yet slight sweet finish.

Craft Pimlico. The Italian/Irish event. Keg. With Jackie and Simon. Clear dark amber - brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light with modest fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts. Little lactose sweetness. Mild dark chocolate. Light finish. Standard stuff.

Keg at Brew Dock, Dublin, 28/06/15. Pitch black with a solid dirty tan head that dissipates but retains, good lacingensues. Let this jjuan site nearly 15 minutes before I raked it and it still looked bo shizzl - solid 5 appearance being offered. Nose is roast malt, Chocolate, toffee fudge, light coffee, spice trace. Taste carries light coffee grinds, sweet chocolate fondue, light charr, toffee fudge, trace molasses, dark fruit tickle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light roast. Solid sweet stout, top draw for style, great balance.

On tap at The Black Sheep, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out dry oats upfront - very dry and bitter. Flavour is quite rich and robust, with oats, dry cocoa and a light bitterness. Quite full-bodied and well-balanced. Very good stuff.

Draught @ The Brew Dock, Dublin, shared with Niilstrong. Dark brown to black color with a dark red glare coming through, average sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, roast, roast malt bitter. Decent body and carbonation. Not bad.

My Bottom Line:
Milk chocolate is topped with roastiness and mild vanilla in this intelligent Milk Stout.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam covers the blackness.
-This is not a vanilla mess, for once. A dessert Stout you can actually drink because it stills tastes like Stout AND the dosage of the adjuncts is just.
-Drinkability is high.
-Mouthfeel is expectedly rich despite the 4.5% abv, but the roastiness cuts into the sugar nicely.
-Dosage is perfect. Never got tired of the chocolate and lactose. Great pint of Stout.
-If they ever offer through on nitrogen, its going to make a killing, methinks...

Pour out of 500 mL bottle, dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of nice chocolate, coffee, roast, molasses, lactose, some caramel. Taste was a mix of sweet chocolate, vanilla, lactose, slight roast, coffee, hints of spice, finishing slightly sweet.
