Milk Chocolate Stout
Decadent and complex while remaining wholly refreshing and drinkable. This Stout is brewed with Milk Sugars and Chocolate to give rich flavours and body that goes down smooth.
Taste of Chocolate and smooth mouthfeel, due to the additions of Dark Chocolate and Milk Sugars (Lactose) respectively. While dark, rich and decadent this beer finds balance and subtlety in its lightness and drinkability. Great for matching with sweeter dishes and intense desserts.
Speciality Malts - Oats, Munich, Chocolate, Crystal, Roast Barley
Hops (32 IBU) - Magnum, Cascade

Medium but dense & stable dark-cream head over virtually black beer. Husks, coffee, tobacco, even some leather; warming up, chocolate (milk and dark) coming up. Dry-bitterish, again tobacco and coffeegrind. Cream (feel and taste) from the lactose suggesting sweetness, yet keeping in dry. Some malty underbuild. Creamy & film-y feel; feeling better bodied than it is; good carbonation. First impressions (aroma & flavour) are dry and great, but they mellow just a touch too much afterwards. 7/4/7/4/14

April 2017 - 330ml bottle at home in Richmond as ’Galway Bay Buried At Sea Milk Stout’, 4.5%, BB Mar 2018. While watching Chungking Express. Opaque black with a foamy brown head, dotted lacing. Aroma is really chocolatey, coffee and roast malts, yeast and lactose. Body is frothy with soft carbonation. Taste is sweet and lactic, chocolate, a little acidic, papery finish with some thin coffee. Not a huge fan - too sweet and thin for my taste. Was hoping for more from this one.
