On tap. Brewdock. Great to see an Irish brewery using fresh hops from NZ for this brew. Dense head, descent lacing. Nice full hop kick. Really tasty!

I really enjoyed the Galway Bay beers I tried. Lots of flavour, well balanced. This is a great IPA.

4.1
aliquid (6) - LUXEMBOURG - MAR 24, 2014 does not count
Hoppy with a long bitter finish, with NZ hops adding intense tropical fruitiness to the aroma and to the taste. Slightly oily palate with medium carbonation.

Has the kind of bitterness that I look for in an ale. Tastes like a session beer but watch out for the 6% A very good addition to the Irish Pale Ale range.

Draught pint at Salt House in Galway. Poured cloudy amber with a white head. Powerfully hopped but with stong citrus character.

V similar to full sail. a little fuller in body and bitterness with pithy orange and gooseberry emerging on warming.

stravale (3088) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - DEC 5, 2013
Keg @ Salt House, Galway [021213]
Light amber ornage, slight haze, fizzy frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma - mellow tropical fruits, light sweet tropical fruity malt, some pithy grapefruit
Taste of tropical fruits, bitter grapefruit zest, soft sweet tropical fruit maltt background, very citrus zesty bitter
Palate - Medium carb and body, bitter zest palate with a soft sweet malt background. Finish delivers even more bitter zest, quite long very bitter, quite dry finish, bit over bitter
Overall - Decent ipa with plenty of punch, finish good even if a bit over bitter

3.4
garthicus (2942) - Dublin, IRELAND - MAR 28, 2013
Appearance: Cloudy orange, small white head. Aroma: sweet, hoppy, grassy, vanilla, malt, a little fruity. Flavour: bitter, lots of lemon & spice, quite the fresh cut grass flavour running through it, long lemon bitter finish. It’s just a bit muddled for me... Odd.
