COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an exciting new style of beer that we call Irish Pale Ale. This delicious beer is pale in colour, has a full well balanced hop flavour and aroma, a good foamy head, a carbonation level similar to standard lagers. Now you can, of course, make it as complicated as you like by adding various chemicals and preservatives to the beer so that it ferments and matures faster, has a longer shelf life and is cheaper to produce. However, as a small independent craft brewery, we believe in using traditional techniques and think that only the four basic ingredients of beer should be used to produce this wonderful, thirst quenching, “magic potion”. All we want to do is produce a pure and natural beer for the Galway market. Nothing more.

Bottle at home. Pale orange amber, frothy head that fades with some light lacing. Nice fruit nose - apricot, hint of orange zest, some lager/noble hop earthiness too. Similar palate, dry and somewhat juicy with more of that noble hop vibe, black pepper, hint of ester and a dry grainy finish. Not bad!

On tap at O’Neill’s, Dublin, 06.19.10. Hazy golden orange, white head. Aroma is slightly grassy hoppy. Flavor is caramel, vanilla: very malty with some hops bitterness. Drinkable.

On tap at the Salt house in Galway. Clear darker amber with white creamy head. Grainy, spicey hops, dry, light fruit. Grainy, slight bitterness, some green apple, dry, not very pleasant. Light, watery body with spritzy carbonation. Not good.

Dark gold pour with a thick off white head. Malty, toffee...smells a lot like Arnott’s malt o milk biscuits. Taste is malty, toffee, sweet with a nice mild bitter finish.

Draught at The Bull & Castle in Dublin. Light golden in color with a soapy off-white head. Leaves big circles of lacing. Sweet sugary floral aroma. Light floral bitter flavor, medium bodied.

beerfest5 (1207) - Cloneen, IRELAND - JAN 3, 2010
on tap @ the bierhaus, cork. good color and aroma for a pale ale, and after having way too many lagers so far this week, a hoppy pale ale from one of the only microbreweries in ireland was just the thing. very refreshing and nice hop character, a little mild and needs more of an abv punch, but good beer that i will have to have one more of.

Quite a nice mild ale. A little watery and spicy and some hops. Overall pretty nice.
