On tap at Cafe Cambrinus Brugge. Clear gold colour lasting white head. A little soap and then decent tangerine fruit. Light bitterness. A little sweet. Lacked some carbonation. Soft blond. Ok.

The blonde house beer of Cambrinus in Brugues, also by Van Steenberge and also claimed to represent an original recipe so not an alias. Very thick, stable, off-white head, clear ’old gold’ colour, fizzy. Aroma of unmistakable DMS (cooked cauliflower), honey, caramel candy, powder sugar, dried mango, straw, coriander, apricot, dried banana. Sweet onset, banana and peach with a basic sourishness underneath, minerally carbo, smooth caramelly and somewhat honeyish malt sweetness, bit metallic, soft floral hoppiness in the end with some soapy coriander but more than anything, lingering malt sweetness. Boring and stereotypical, intended for the big masses like its brown counterpart, but more metallic.

Clear, golden colored, medium to small white head, not very lasting. Aroma is sweet brew sugary, orange, spicy, Belgian yeasty. Taste is medium+ sweet brewing sugar, bit bready, orange fruity, some yeast, more spicy, medium- bitterness, dryish finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bit watery. (on tap, Cambrinus, Brugge)

[email protected], Bruges. Deep golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, some toffeeish and mild wooden notes. Flavour is rather similar. Balanced, but as such nothing special. Still a good stronger Session beer, which is easy to drink.

Draught @ Cambrinus, Bruges as "Cambrivinus Blond." Aroma is mild with grain and sweet apricot tones. Flavour has sweet apricot, fruit candy and mild alcohol notes. A tad too sweet. More rich than the bruin one.

Keg at Cambrinus in Brugges alongside the dark. Pours hazy Gold with a bright White head. yeasty tripel aroma. Banana and wheat. quite perfumed. Fairly hoppy, wheaty taste with a quite pleasant dryness. Decent but I preferred the dark.
