On tap at Cafe Cambrinus Brugge. Dark brown colour lasting beige head. Better than the blond. Smooth mid chocolate flavour. Not much hop or dryness. One dimensional chocolate bruin but decent. KoRoBeNiKi (157) - Fair Lawn, New Jersey, USA - FEB 19, 2017
Was going through this brewery index and I found this old beer I drank in Bruges. Light sweetness. Perfectly drinkable but nothing exceptional. Alengrin (5369) - BELGIUM - FEB 10, 2016
Draught at Cambrinus in Brugues. Their dark house beer, allegedly made to an original recipe (which I found a bit hard to believe considering Van Steenberge’s record. Thick, lacing, moussy, egg-white head over a clear bronze brown beer with burgundy hue. Aroma of caramel candy, hazelnut, cocoa nibs, stewed beef, pear, banana, coriander, some stale sweat and a faint whiff of cooked cabbage. Sweetish, raisiny onset, banana touch, softish carbo, very caramelly, slick maltiness, bit resinous with a toasted bitter hint, leafy hops in the end but no sharp bitterness at all, instead the initial malt sweetness continues almost unhindered. Very cliché, boring Belgian dubbel, clearly intended to please the masses of tourists visiting this place with classic, easy-going Belgian beer in mind. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUL 17, 2015

, Bruges. Deep rubyish amber colour, mediumsized beige head, which leaves good lace. Aroma is caramel, toffee, some floral notes as well as some wooden and mild spiced notes. Flavour is wood, some mild syrupy notes along with raisins.
Draught @ Cambrinus, Bruges as "Cambrivinus Bruin." Aroma is rather mild with some toffee and toasted notes. Flavour has toffee candy, ripe fruits and nuts. Also slight berry juice tones. A bland and sweet amber. Completely clean and not watery though.

Aroma of bready malt, caramel, sweet dark fruits, toffee, raisin, herbal notes. Flavour is medium sweet. Smooth and easy to drink, but also a bit average for the style. martinrumsam (565) - BARNSTAPLE, Devon, ENGLAND - SEP 5, 2014
On tap. Deep brown with dense off white head. Aroma of dark fruits ,bread and yeast. Sweet taste to start becoming fruitier and semi bitter finish. Rich mouthfeel. I thought it was higher strength. Not a bad house beer.
