3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
342 mL bottle at Queen and beaver in Toronto, served in an English half pint glass. Pours hazy amber with a moderate off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a small amount of lace. The nose has notes of pine, citrus, flowers and caramel. The flavour is intensely bitter with huge resin and pine, along some citrus and a touch of pepper. The finish is long, resiny bitter and slightly peppery. On the palate it is medium in body with a dryish texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a decent strong ale, but it is a little one dimensional with overwhelming hoppy bitterness. 2012-02-24
Pours orange amber, medium head. Light aroma, grassy, citrus. Taste caramel, fairly bitter. Medium body, a bit fizzy. Lubiere (14262) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 6, 2013
A hazed amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, nice caramel malt with light fruity notes and floral hops. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with roasted notes, grassy hops, nice. Bottle at Socialist Pig café. Strangebrewer (1374) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 23, 2013
on tap @ C’est What? Poured amber-orange with anice lacing white head. Aroma is citrusy with floral notes. Full crisp mouthfeel with a puckering bitterness that lasts. Flavour of bitter grapefruit and caramel malt. Really nice beer but more of an IPA quality. robinvboyer (4813) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 23, 2012
Train wreck eh? Hmmmm......sounds about right. Tasted of a sweet malty, wet papered mess. Some nice cereals off the bat, but the mouthfeel is syrupy, the finish is a muddled sweet sticky blob of sugary malts. Cant find any hops.

Light amber color, small head. Some caramel aroma, a bit metallic. Dry mouthfeel; mild malt and toffee flavor; strong bitterness, but without much hop quality; the final is strong, but again a bit metallic.
November 11, 2011 - on draught at Volo. Hazy amber with an average creamy lasting off-white head. Smells floral and malty - like an extra bitter ESB with some butterscotch in it. Taste is a bit boozy and fruity, fairly bitter but it’s characterless bitterness (not resin/herbal/zest etc), and definitely papery diacetyl unpleasantness. Chewy, decent carbonation, a longish bitter but somewhat harshly bitter finish - tweak this, I think it could be quite good, but this isn’t so hot. On tap at the Only. Pours a cloudy orange amber with modest-sized off-white head. Aroma is caramel and earthy citric hops. Flavour has fairly strong lemon zest/grapefruit hops and some caramel/grainy maltiness. Decent bitterness in finish. Solid. Ontbeertaster (3208) - Ontario, CANADA - JUL 28, 2012
Tap, full of bitterness and heavy malts, but theres really nothing there to support the mash up. It was quite hard to drink. Overall it was okay Sammy (13013) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 1, 2012
Enjoyed on tap at Get Well. A decent IPA, ne a strong ale. Cloudy body, soapy head, lacey. Citrus hops with a good malting behind it. A little astringent in the finish. Off-aromas and flavour, could not pinpoint, but not completely integrated, A bit light on the mouthfeel.
