Draught @ 4th Borefts Beer Festival 2012, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands.

Clear medium to dark orange amber colour with a average to large, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, grass, smoke. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, grassy, dusty hay, smoke, meat. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Lovely ;-) [20120928]

330ml bottle. De Molen Flute glass. Enjoyed on feb´13. Deep amber color. Chill haze. Tan froth creates a long lasting tan, small bubbled, creamy crown. ½ cm wide head remains on top til the end. Intense malty aroma with candy notes is overwhelmed by smoky touch & leather hints. Earthy fragrances are also perceived. Sweet & smoke malt flavors at first sip are blown up by a funny & peppery orange acidic sensation. Light body & soft carbonation. Oily & sharp hops in the middle resolve in a clean bitter finish. Bitter & slightly smoky aftertaste. Refreshing & flavorful beer. No words to describe how amazing the balance is.

Hopfiger, sehr cremiger Beginn, leider im Hintergrund laff. Etwas hefig, nicht ganz rund. Ein interessantes Bier! 13/8/8/9//9

On tap @ Borefts 2012. This is a clear amber almost glowing one with a medium sized off-white light bubbly top. Smoky with weeds, a mild sweetness. Smells really nice. The taste is even better! Ashy and mildly smoked. Just the perfect amount for my taste buds! Softly sweet also. This has to be one of the most easy drinkin’ and best smoked beers I have ever tasted. Gentle bitterness hanging on all the way, really balanced and never over the top. Great stuff! 28.09.2012

Borefts Beer Festival IV. Day 1. Clear amber beer with a good cream coloured head. Smooth palate with fine carbonation. Smooth malt, a little cream. Mellow smoke with mild spicy bubblegum ester. Semi dry finish.

Beer #3 at BBF12. Very good one. My girlfriend’s favorite of the festival. Sweet notes and smoke. Also some caramel there. Lovely, long, smokey aftertaste. Very good indeed.
