Gänstaller Bräu Kellerbier Mandarina is the same as Gänstaller Bräu Kellerbier, confirmed by brewer Andreas Gänstaller. Bavaria Mandarina hops have been used in his Kellerbier for years, replacing Spalter Select for late hopping. The name change was to feature the hop name at pubs.

0,5 l on tap at Godec pub. Pours hazy golden yellow with dense off white dissipating head head and nice lacing. Aroma is quite hoppy, floral and herbal on top of grainy malt with some typical pilsner malt pollen aroma. Taste is light sweet, medium bitter, very light sour. Body is light to medium, texture slick and carbonation average. Finish is medium, hoppy with medium bitterness. Easily drinkable.

On tap @ BBF ’16. As Kellerbier Mandarina. The aroma has light grain, grassy, wurzig. Clear, golden-copper coloured beer with a thin head. The taste is light bitter, has some grainy-bready malt sweetness, grass, hint fruit, bit yeasty wurzig finish, more dry. Very decent.

Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - NOV 21, 2016

Bue à la pression au Borefts Beer Festival 2016. J’avais d’autres choses à faire que de prendre des notes ;)

Michael27 (2439) - Berlin, GERMANY - NOV 12, 2016
Frisch vom Hahn im BrewDog Berlin. Klares Altgold ohne Schaum. Als Mandarina. Leichte Bitterkeit durch den Hopfen. Ein wenig mehr Fruchtigkeit wäre besser gewesen.

tomer (3908) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - OCT 22, 2016
At BBF, as "Ganstaller kellerbeer mandarina", almost completely clear and a little intense yellow color, aroma of vanila, orange blossom, soapy flowers notes and some candy in the back, deepish fruity candy flavor, light bitterness. Not that great.

Bov (13456) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - OCT 12, 2016
[email protected]; as Mandarina - quite clear blond beer with a little white foam left; chewy aroma of ripe fruits; medium-bodied and with a moderate carbonation; gently bitter, the finish is mineral and herbal
