COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Note: physically brewed at Trabelsdorf until Dec 2010 and known as Beck-Bräu Kellerbier.

Gänstaller Bräu Kellerbier Mandarina is the same as Gänstaller Bräu Kellerbier, confirmed by brewer Andreas Gänstaller. Bavaria Mandarina hops have been used in his Kellerbier for years, replacing Spalter Select for late hopping. The name change was to feature the hop name at pubs.

Tap @ Borefts 15. Slightly hazy yellow colour with a small to medium sized white head. Smells hops, malts, slightly cardboard. Tastes malts, slightly cardboards, hops, slightly grainy, nice. Medium body, soft to medium carbo.

(Gänstaller Bräu Kellerbier) On tap at Borefts as Kellerbier Mandarina. Deep orange golden colour on the body, clear, with a small white head on top. Good foam retention. Aroma has grass, hay, malts, not as much hoppy aroma as I expected. Taste has light biscuit, malts, grass, light tangerine, better hop presence here. Medium thin body, good carbonation. Okay.

Zlotta (4148) - Hagen, GERMANY - SEP 27, 2015
On tap as Kellerbier Mandarina at Borefts 2015. Clear, golden orange with a frothy white head. Citrusy-grassy aroma of hay, tangerine, honey. Sweetish, fruity-grassy taste of tangerine, hay, honey. Short, medium bitter finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, flat. Nice, not too much hop flavour though.

More bitter than I had expected, but that does make it a better Kellerbier than i have had for a long time. Excellent Borefts

Tap at Borefts. Clear golden with white head. Lots of malts and grains with a light walnut touch, some flower honey and fresh baked bread. Light herbal hops with a light citrus peel touch. Light sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied with very creamy feel. Very nice for a lager.
