Huge thanks to Andreas. Clear pale with a nice white head. The aroma is delicate, floral, spicy and herbal with just a touch of malt sweetness. The alcohol is perfectly hidden and the palate is very smooth. Lovely as every Andreas beer.

Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker, BB 13.02.11. Oh boy, this one’s unusual. Wood, vanilla, some resin, some almond, hazelnut. Very very bitter. Slightly off balance on the palate, probably from the age as well. Almost flat.

At Hoppy Loft Brussels, with S&G Tasting group, first day trip. APPEARANCE: clear dark blond beer, small unstable off white head. NOSE: slight hoppy, grains, sweet. TASTE: hoppy, sweet, but expired I think...

Smak och doft av fishermans friend, söt, oljig konsistens med en kärv beska. Vet inte vad jag ska tro om denna.

KennethArd (551) - Odense, DENMARK - APR 3, 2013
Almost hidden aroma and absolutely no head. It’s hazy red. The taste is bitter and the palate is soft, bitter and sticky. The absolutely worst beer i’ve ever tasted from de Molen.

Soft malty nose. Pale beige thin head. Hazy amber color.Sweet malty and hoppy taste with some hints of toffee and raisins. More than average hoppiness.

33 cl fles @home. Goed sterk bier. echt wel een IPA en echt geen dubbelbock.

ClubGonzo (5668) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 14, 2012
Bottle @ Tre Små Rum, Gothenburg. A collaboration between Närke, De Molen and...who’s those other guys? Definitely worth checking out. :-) Pours a hazy amber body with a tiny white head. Nose is honey, oat-like cereals, grains and hints of syrup and rye. Taste is grainy licorice, burnt sugar, hints of syrup and alcohol. Smooth and slightly crisp in the mouth, otherwise this beer resembles a barley wine far more than a doppelbock in my opinion. Still a rock solid brew; clearly with lots of originality and craft behind it.

ekstedt (6737) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 7, 2012
Bottle (33 cl) at Café 3 små rum. Clear copper, medium off-white head. Sugary, caramelly and fudgy malt aroma with some herbal hops. Medium bodied and smooth. Semi dry, medium bitterness.
