UPDATED: JUL 29, 2017 Pours well - good head, excellent aroma and taste. Probably a little too drinkable for a 9.5 and can easily get one into trouble. Oddly the resinous after taste seems to build becoming very noticeable after a while by which stage one has probably consumed more than the sensible amount. Yur, it is what it is. What went down was what went down. Solid. Pine, grapefruit, mango ... gnome sane? Resin. Sweet crust, probably glazed. The only indication of its 9.5% ABV was the fact that all I wanted to do was listen to Cheech and Chongs greatest hits. I need to take a leak, my back teeth are floating. How : bottle Appearance : hazy deep orange with a medium white head. Aroma : mango, passion fruit, lemon, grass, lime cest, candied ginger, pine, pineapple juice. Palate : medium to full body, average carbonation. colui72 (1190) - HONG KONG - DEC 31, 2016
Hazy orange/amber, small white head. Strong citrus and mango hoppy aroma. Taste gets the same, usual, Imperial IPA flavours: strong Pacific hops (resin, mango, lychees and citrus) and some maltiness (biscuit and light caramel). Some booze and gentle carbonation make it very enjoyable. Tasty, good, however, same as many others. CacheManyHose (791) - HONG KONG - DEC 19, 2016
Bottle from Brewcraft, drank w Matt at home. Pours a hazy bright orange-brown with a very creamy foamy head and spotty legs. Smells of big juicy orange, mango, some pear, slightly musty toasty malt, light stone and celery, Taste is big resin bitterness, lightly peppery malt, big bright sharp acidity. Body is stony and bitter. Good, esp the nose.

Bottle from Brewcraft at home. Medium dark copper pour. Aroma is dank resin and some sweet malt. Taste is big resinous bitterness balanced by rich malt flavor. Boozy resin finish. Tingling carbonation makes the palate not as heavy. Lasting bitter burn. Quite solid DIPA - very resinous and bitter but with lots of sweet malt. Probably wouldn’t get again though for HK$140. Probably the Best Imperial IPA I’ve tried in the last two years, on tap and out of the bottle. Massive amount of flavour, extremely resinous, and incredibly well balanced! Yep, the Superstars of Australasian brewing have done it again! beer-yum (2005) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 5, 2016
UPDATED: MAY 20, 2017 Big hop aroma of pine with tropical and citrus fruits. Similarly big hop forward balance with fruity malt body and sustained bitter finish to match. No mistaking this is a big beer all around. Davros (3362) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUL 29, 2016
Pours amber with a large head.
Nose shows pine, resinous hops, soft passion fruit and some booze.
Flavours include sweet clean malt, pine, grapefruit, resinous hops, caramel and booze. Samtzu (650) - Palmerston North, NEW ZEALAND - JUL 3, 2016
650ml Bottle. Intense aroma full of hops and slight fruit notes. The flavour is exactly the same. A kick in the face of hops with a slightly sweet after taste.
