Bottle from Slowbeer (July 2014). Dark amber, 1 inch frothy off-white head, massive malt extract and hop resin aromas, resinous piney bitterness, syrupy-sweet malt, full body, thick, sticky texture, long resiney bitter finish. Not one of my GP favourites.

Aroma: toasty caramel, extract malt. Like a full extract home brew barleywine App: clear amber red with a perfect tan head and sheet lacing... Plus the awesome bottle Flavour: acidic hop, malt, roastiness. Tastes like extract homebrew. Very spiritous Palate: long hop finish ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is a beast. Strong citrus hops and equally strong malt profile. Plenty of sweet caramel. Good brew.

1L squealer into a spig stout glass. Pours ruby redy with a small off white head. Aroma is big and unique, not of floral/candy notes, papaya, mango etc. It has a massively reinous/bitter flavour with a well balanced sweetness, more pine and grassy notes in the flavour as opposed to stone fruits.A very unique and flavourful IIPA, kudos GP.

A behemoth - smells distinctly of dates - tastes of rich sweet date caramel and lovely fruit hop - this brew has been marked down by people for being too much, too big - for crying out loud...! It’s meant to be! It’s the beer that kicks sand in almost every other double IPA’s face - a real man’s beer - not for girlie men.

Upfront I must admit this was one beer that screamed ’buy me’ to me due to the label. Pours ruby red/amber with a 2 finger white fluffy head that leaves nice lacing. The aroma is huge. Lots of pine, resin and grassy notes along with some grapefruit. The taste is also massive. Heaps of grassy and piney hops, grapefruit, very sweet heavy malt backbone. Medium bodied. I can certainly understand why other raters believe there is too much going on here and zero subtlety but I don’t mind it as a concept beer but couldn’t drink it regularly.

650 ML bomber Dark amber color with good ruby notes. Off white head, good soapy lacing. Nose is very big. Not in a good way. Not a DIPA but more a strong ale. Very syrupy with a medicinal candied apple and pine nose. Massive booze in the taste. Big pine and grapefruit taste but it is also very medicinal taste. Oily and resiny but not in a good way. Very rough. Hard to drink and finish. Needs to be at the 14% area to work well and maybe smooth it out more. Good label though.

Ngejo (1000) - Jakarta, INDONESIA - AUG 21, 2014
Tap. Hazy, amber, rocky head, white foam, very bitter, full body, average carbonation, & bitter finish.

maneliquor (3514) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - AUG 15, 2014
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Can’t say I really enjoyed this. It was just too much of everything. Usually I like big beers but this was just huge and in-your-face. Very piney and aggressively bitter but with an excessive sweetness. Super resinous and sticky stuff. Struggled through my third of the bottle. Too much power, not enough finesse for me

hank37 (194) - banksia grove, AUSTRALIA - AUG 2, 2014
Garage project mecha hop industrial process ale.?. Pours dark orange bordering brown, with a thin head of coarsely packed bubbles. Getting some acetaldehyde and pumpkin aromas. Mouth feel is quite astringent and sharp, medium-high carbonation. There’s definitely some medicinal flavour going on as well as some metallic action. Definitely not something I’d buy again, but satisfied my curiosity.
