The arrival of hops to the brewing scene in England in the 1500’s led to a moral panic. Hops were condemned as a “wicked and pernicious weed”, one which would lead to the erosion of social and moral standards. Thank goodness they were right. Here’s hoping that our homage to the original pernicious weed continues this gradual decline. Organic Rakau and whole cone Nelson Sauvin go head to head in this strong, golden, hoppy brew. Bitter, yes. Intensely hoppy, absolutely. Too much, never.

Pours yellow-orange, surprisingly light colour. Medium head with good retention. Aroma is very nice; Citrus, Pine, Orange. Slight alcohol. Taste; malt-profile is very light, which accenuate the hops. It is a perfect plan, and works well. Bitterness balanced backdrop of the fruity (citrus, grape) flavour. This is a delicious brew. One of the best DIPAs I’ve had. 8% ? cannot believe it.

65cl bottle. Medium head settling smaller. Cloudy orange color. Aroma is grass, raspberries, hint of meat, weed, candy, flowers. Taste is bitter of grapefruit.

erickok (6036) - Leuven, BELGIUM - APR 29, 2017
Spicy, golden malts hot, English fermentation. Medium bitter, spicy, nice and dry, but enough body. Just a bit short on aftertaste for this abv and spice level. Nice brew! (33cl can at Brew Dog Malmö)

Tap at Ale Arsenal. Sweet and a bit cloying. Golden-copper with a full white head. Aroma and flavor both included honey. Not too dank for the name.

Amazing flavourful IPA. Doesn’t taste like an 8%, great stuff. Maybe the best I’ve tried

This was delicious. A pretty strong aroma of both malts and hops - a battle. The flavor is quite hoppy, just the right amount of strong.Quite nice stuff.

Ytterst trevlig och precis så där fruktig som denna öltyp bör vara! Yes, i like!

ABUSEDGOAT (2932) - California, USA - JAN 26, 2017
Hazy amber color with a white head. Aroma of tropical hops, grapefruit, mango, caramel. Medium bodied, high bitterness, pacific rim hops dominate. Yum.
