The arrival of hops to the brewing scene in England in the 1500’s led to a moral panic. Hops were condemned as a “wicked and pernicious weed”, one which would lead to the erosion of social and moral standards. Thank goodness they were right. Here’s hoping that our homage to the original pernicious weed continues this gradual decline. Organic Rakau and whole cone Nelson Sauvin go head to head in this strong, golden, hoppy brew. Bitter, yes. Intensely hoppy, absolutely. Too much, never.

Givet den bästa ölen i det fyrpack från Systembolaget. Massor av tropisk frukt i både arom och smak. Bra bett i humlebeskan och jäkligt bra juicig smak. Gillas! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: AUG 27, 2016 0,33L can bought at the Bottle Shop Hong Kong. Appearance: Pours a hazy orange to golden colour with thin to medium white head. Aroma: Floral aroma of grapefruit and some tropical fruits from Nelson Sauvin hops. Aroma of stone fruit, resin, pine, apricot and citrus from Rakau hops. Taste: Citric and piney flavour with medium to high bitterness. The bitterness is quite sharp and the intensity increases by time. Also with some really subtle malt sweetness. Palate: Medium to full body. The carbonation is quite high, with some prickly and sticky texture. Long-lasting, bitter finish with citrus and piney aftertaste. Overall: An intense and hoppy IPA. The two kiwi hops, Nelson Sauvin and Rakau, have demonstrated different hops characters, yet they match with each other perfectly. Enjoy this IPA while admire the drawing of the "pernicious weed" on the can !

Can from Systembolaget. Clear amber with mid sized white head. Big fruity, hoppy aroma with sticky piney notes. Taste is piney with some citrus, sticky resin, mango and pineapple. Very nice combination of sticky pine and fruity hops.

Bärnstensfärgad klar med vit skum. Mycket tropisk frukt i doft och smak! Bra "klibbig" beska.

Gott!

2016-05-17. Lightly hazy orange body with a small white head. 3+ Aroma has nice fruity hoppy character, citrus maybe mango? 7+ Flavour is pleasantly hoppy, nice fruity character, some citrus and a melange of fruit that escapes my dissection today. Moderate bitterness throughout grows as you go a bit. 7++ Average bodied palate, moderate carbonation. 7/3-4/7+/3/16-17 On tap at Smith’s, Queenstown, NZ.
