Can - the beer version of bourbon and coke - yet another GP super high quality, super high octane brew - just a tad sweet for my palate but once again, GP delivers something amazing from left of field. The description says ’Giddy up’ but I think it should say - in Bruce Willis mode - ’Yippeekaiyaymuthafucka’. Samtzu (588) - Palmerston North, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 9, 2017
330ml can. Pours a deep black with no head. Sweet nose similar to a milk stout but with a hint of bourbon. Cola like texture with little carbonation. Sweetness comes through in the palate and another hit of the bourbon. beer-yum (1890) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 2, 2017
Restrained aroma in a coke colored pour. Big coca, vanilla, and chocolate flavours go some way in masking the not inconsiderable strength. But in the end they fail - and a bourbon and coke comes through front and center. Not bad in and of itself - but not something I’m looking for in a beer. A rare ’miss’ but the good folks at Garage Project (in my book at least). Hoponmate (309) - NEW ZEALAND - DEC 26, 2016
Big beer and you have to know it coming in. Its really boozy and is a take on an rtd. Its sickly sweet and not really even a beer. Bourbon adds even more sweetness and a slight coke. Very acidic after taste. explosivedog (1619) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 18, 2016
330ml can. Interesting, but overwhelming notes of bourbon somewhat kill it for me. It’s super boozy and it’s a shame, because you can tell there’s an interesting beer underneath. Some cola comes through, a little vanilla, plenty of citrus. It’s just that it tastes like a bourbon and coke you made when you were too drunk to stop pouring bourbon at the right time.
