Bottle at Cafe Sara, october 28th 2016. Dark brown body with a minimal head. Aroma of dark malt, raisin, wood and toffee, taste is lightly tart, plums, sweet caramel and rum, floral, banana notes. A decent take on barrelling!

On tap at Lovebucket. Pours dark brown. Lots of rum, molasses, plums, raisins, sherry heat. Lovely.

Red wine colour with no head. Cherries, funk, red wine and barrels. Thick, vineous and tart finish. Good!

I thought this was alcohol forward, and had high levels of tannin like roughness and bitterness about it. Then on reflection it could be the Rum aspects. This is a beer that seems in reverse with the alcohol upfront and not a tang at the back, and the dry edginess finish is unusual and becomes enjoyable eventually.

ShareFile bottle at Josteins place. Pours clear dark as Coke with no head. Aroma of dark malts, red ripe fruits. taste is light sweet dark fruits, cherries, lively and moreish.

beer-yum (2010) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 16, 2016
Plum pudding aroma in a coke colored pour. Big fruity flavor with a tart twist to keep it interesting. Totally hides its strength - which is an issue given its ’moreishness’. A great start to Garage Project’s barrel aging program.

Samtzu (651) - Palmerston North, NEW ZEALAND - JUL 18, 2016
375ml bottle. Pours a dark gold, funnily enough from above it looks like Coca-Cola. Medium body with a roller coaster ride of flavours ranging from sweet to tart to malty and a fireworks finale of rum.
