COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dunkelweizen is a German dark wheat beer made from approximately 50% wheat and 50% barley malts. The special yeast used produces a clovey, fruity taste beloved of German ex-pats and a lot of Americans too. It’s soft finish makes it an easy drinker.

Draft at the source. The appearance is a nice unfiltered dirty brown with a thin layer of head. Nose is all German yeast with the clove and bubblegum I was hoping for. The flavor is the German yeast with a nice amount of caramel malt. A very light hop adds some bitterness I pick up right after the sip. Has a slick texture. Medium in body and over all; my favorite from this trip at the brewpub.
