Small white head. Clear amber body with a few tiny particles.
Light fruity papery aroma with resiny notes. Dry-sweet wooden
fruity toffee taste. Mid-to-thin body. Slightly harsh
mouthfeel. Dryish resiny spicy wooden aftertaste. Bitter,
lingering wooden herbal notes. Too thin and harsh, but not
really bad. (0.33l bottle, from Couleurs des Bieres, Montpellier.) erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - MAR 15, 2013
Hazy light brown body with bubbly slightly off white head. Interesting aroma that mixes sweet, farmhouse yeast, caramel and cookie malts with forest hops. Mixes a bière de garde like basis worth dry hoping, almost like a less pronounced Orval. Strong bitterness with just enough malts to provide a rich body. And at 4% that?s quite a feat! Perfect carbonation and rich bitter aftertaste. Not super complex but an excellent drink and at the abv it?s very well made. Highly recommended! Bottle from la Cave à Bulles, Paris
Clean light amber color, bright; small head. Aroma of caramel and toffee, toasted almonds, perfume, light aroma of cereals too; very nice. The mouthfeel is dry and lean but not weak; the flavor of malt and cereals is quite nice, while the hopping is powerful and rather aromatic; the final has lots of dry resins; long.
Bold beer, with many interesting edges. Clean and very bitter.
