Bottle 50 cl. Pours cloudy - almost opaque - deep golden with a small off-white head. Intensely hoppy aroma, very spicy - almost herbal. Full-bodied, solid hops again with a light and spicing edge of ginger. Distinctly hoppy finish. 061112 Gorbalev (3000) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 13, 2012
Bottle, thank you as always Colin and Kendra, my one stop Garrison just in time supply chain experts :) . Very intrigued by this one! Looks great - hazy, thick looking dark orange with a huge thick and creamy orange tinted head. Aroma features mango first, or at least fruity hops that my mind is now making mango, as well as sweet malt and a bit of alcohol. Hints of spicy hops in there as well. Taste - stunningly well balanced! There are a ton of different hops in here hitting every which way, but not a complete in your face hop juice sort of thing. I get the citrus ones more up front and the piney and spicy hops in the end. The full body hold everything together very well, and the mango comes through a bit in a fruity taste. I only see the ginger maybe in the finish, but it is hard to compete with these hops. Very drinkable as well, somehow. One of my favourite Garrison beers - well done! And Congrats to Garrison on their 15th Anniversary - I have had the pleasure to try just about everything from these folks and while not every beer is a home run (like this one) I admire their creativity and applaud their success. Bottle courtesy of gethinbeer. Hazy orange pour with a tight white head. The nose is quite fruity and spicy with notes of white pepper, spice and loads of tropical citrus and mango. A little bit of sweet pine in addition to some lightly fruity maltiness. A little bit of noble hop aroma actually makes itself known. A fairly complex hop profile that somehow doesn’t end up a muddled mess. I dont really get much ginger or mango - just a lightly spicy sort of component on the back of a lot of juicy citrus and tropical fruit. Warming alcohol n the back but it isn’t hot or unbalanced. Quite a nice brew - dangerously drinkable really. Spab (4230) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 5, 2012
500 ml bottle from Premier Wine and Spirits. Pours a very cloudy burnt orange with average-sized, creamy, cream-coloured head and lots of little floaties. Aroma is green citrusy and piney hops that are big enough to obscure most anything else. Taste is big, juicy grapefruit and piney hops with ginger showing up in the finish. Average plus body. It’s over-the-top, but enjoyable... as long as you like hops.

500ml bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a big white head. Aroma is a spectrum of hops with some tropical fruit sweetness. Hops dominate the taste with grapefruit taking the lead, but floral and earthy are in there too with pine on the finish. Some mango and ginger come through, but they do little to restrain the hops. Nice body. Overall, rather interesting. Good as a one off or an annual treat for hop heads, but no need for this one to be year round. Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - JUL 15, 2012
Hazy copper colour with a frothy white head. Fantastic aroma of fruit, hops and mango. Strong fruity hop flavour. Mango flavour with a sharp bitter tang. Ginger cuts in to create a spicy finish. Oily texture overall. rejtable (2890) - Ontario, CANADA - JUL 13, 2012
Pours cloudy orange with a lasting foamy slightly off-white head. Big lacing. Lots going on here, but I think the finish is a bit harsh. Aromas begin with the mango, and are backed up by some citrus and maybe some pine, but then the finish is a huge bitter blast that is not that pleasant. Tastes are the sweet from the mango, then as I mentioned a pretty intense bitter blast accompanied by a significant alcohol burn. Creamy body. Overall an interesting beer, and maybe it would benefit from aging and mellowing. Quite harsh for my preference. garth_86 (221) - EDMONTON, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 26, 2012
Cloudy orange pour with a creamy white head. On the nose its very choppy, mostly citrus/grapefruit. Taste I grapefruit with a slight sweet mango, don’t get much of the ginger. Overall good beer. Paid $6.25 for a 500ml bottle from the garrison brewery in Halifax. Bendrixian (1514) - Canadiana, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 24, 2012
Hazy orange brew with some sediment floaties that I assume are mangos. Fruity mango aroma is met with a hoppy citrus note. Has an almost spiced or tree sap note as well that I don’t enjoy and can’t place. I struggle with the aroma but I think i get a strong plastic aroma that reminds me of water bottle funk. It is a fruity brew with bittering hops and a little bit of heat to it as well. I think it is an interesting brew that may develop better balance if left in the bottle a bit a longer.
