Bottle shared late night during RBWG 2015. Vintage 2011. Pours reddish brown with a creamy tan head. Some oxidation present on the nose, a bit of cocoa, toasted caramel. Medium sweets or, sugary, with some brown sugar, earthy hops, toffee. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Sugary dark malt finish with mellow chocolate. Black color, with beige head. Nice aroma of dark chocolate and dark bread, hot chocolate, milk. The body is well structured, the mouthfeel round; it has a strong flavor of caramel, dark chocolate, with liquorice and some residual sweetness; also has the character from bottom fermentation, with a fruity trace; correct bitterness, with some roasted nuts in the final, and slight oxidization.
A very fine example of the style.
Bottle in the hotel lobby, RBWG ’15, night 2 - 20/02/15 thanks to whomever shared this number.
Mahogany brown with a moderate beige covering.
Nose is rich roast, dark fruit rinds, light cocoa rub.
Taste comprises dark toffee, rich malt, light charr, spice, chocolate.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Ok Baltic porter. mcberko (19880) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 24, 2011

Bottle during the RBWG lobby share. Pours a clear amber with small white head. The aroma is molasses and brown sugar. Thin mouth with candy sugar and caramel, light booze, nice. Lubiere (14262) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 9, 2011
A deep dark porter with a super thick, creamy and onctuous brown head. In aroma, herbaceous chocolate, dark fruits, light iron notes, very nice. In mouth, a superb sweet caramelized chocolate, with light soy sauce, fudge, alcohol warmth, coffee grind, briney notes, very nice, rich and intense. Private Garrison order. A big beer, very malty with a touch of sourness. While drinkable, not hitting the style. jercraigs (11095) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 11, 2009
2009-04-10. Black body with a modest creamy tan head. Moderate alcohol in the aroma, roasty chocolate undertones. (7+) Flavour is pleasant, rich malt, moderate bitterness, mild fruity undertones - dark fruit. Smooth full bodied palate. Simple but pretty good, very enjoyable. Bottle, thanks to OKBeer. Pours a viscous dark brown with golden highlights and a thick, finely bubbled head. Aroma is burnt sugar, musty cork, prunes and chocolate. Sweet burnt sugar flavour opens the palate, but there are notes of sour cherries, chocolate, raisins, wood, and musty basement. A very tasty brew. Thanks Bobby!
