I had this beer on tap in Halifax. Nice amber colour with rich white head. The malt/hop balance was quite good. The hop aroma came through with a long bitter finish, warmed by the caramel maltiness and earthiness.

On tap at Governors Pub. Pours a clear yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a strong nuttiness supported by hay and straw notes. Flavor has sweet grains and lots of nuts with a sweet earthy toffee and biscuit backing.

Draft at the brewery. Clear yellow-orange body, big white head. The aroma is malty, with vanilla and tobacco notes. The taste is fresh, a bit tart. Lots of nuts and vanilla again.

Bottle. Gold in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of golden delicious apple, and soft 2-row malts. Flavors are of plain custard, orchard fruit, honey and mild herbs. Light bodied without much bitterness. Generic, but decent.

341ml bottle. (5.0% ABV) Pours a clear amber with a small, short lived, white head that leaves spotty lacing. Mild aroma of caramel malt, grain and biscuit. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, grain, biscuit and grass with a crisp, dry, mildly bitter, hoppy finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2016 On tap in Lunenburg. Appearance: amber body and white head. Some lacing. Enticing sweet and bready aroma. The flavor partially follows but is mildly bitter and of lower quality. Mouthfeel: smooth; well carbonated; medium body. Overall: Solid, clean, well-crafted but rather unexceptional.

Purchased at NS Liquor on my trip to Nova Scotia. Pours a rich golden colour with a very light amber hue. Nice creamy off-white head with decent retention and some more creamy lacing. Aromas are quite grainy with some hay and mild sweetness. The taste is pretty much the same, but with the hop showing in the finish. Light grass, but with a touch of what seems like adjunct or chemical hints. The rest is not bad, but not like written on label "Premium", nor "Spciale".
