I had this beer on tap in Halifax. Nice amber colour with rich white head. The malt/hop balance was quite good. The hop aroma came through with a long bitter finish, warmed by the caramel maltiness and earthiness.

This was OK but didn’t rank that high on my ale scale. Hint of malt and hops and certainly not overpowering.

Bottle. Amber colour with white head. Metallic grains, sweet. Not a fan of this one.

Can. Clear golden amber pour with no head. I’ve been enjoying a lot of Garrison beers lately, but wow, this is not great. Grainy malt, a little metallic... Really don’t like this. Boring and bad even for an amber.

Notes of caramel, floral hops and a light malt, pours a clear Amber color with a light white well laced head. Taste is sweet caramel, fruit and malt with a light hop and nut finish. A creamy medium body mouth feel.

Rating #2345 2016.02.21 - Bottle - Clear, copper ale, nice, moderate white foam. Nose is light floral, lots of caramel malt character, fairly sweet, . Lots of toffee, toasted grain, light citrus on the palate, decent bitterness - lots of earthy hop notes in the finish. OK

On tap at the brewery. Comes a clear golden orange with a decent off-white head. Aroma and taste of malt, grain, fruit, and grass. Pretty good.

On tap at the Waterfront Warehouse, Halifax NS. A golden pour with a trace of white head; sweet grainy taste, with a some apple; and a dry crisp, lightly hopped finish. A pleasant start to my NS trip.

deyholla (11749) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 3, 2016
On tap at Governors Pub. Pours a clear yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a strong nuttiness supported by hay and straw notes. Flavor has sweet grains and lots of nuts with a sweet earthy toffee and biscuit backing.

Draft at the brewery. Clear yellow-orange body, big white head. The aroma is malty, with vanilla and tobacco notes. The taste is fresh, a bit tart. Lots of nuts and vanilla again.
