Totally hazy pale rosy-to peach colour, foaming but no head except for slim white lines across the surface. Good cherry nose, fruity, sourish. Tart taste, full fruitiness, slightly lactic, earthy, farmyard, but nothing extreme - good! Medium bodied - exactly right for a fruit beer. Excellent fruitbeer. maybe just a bit too much fruit and too little beer. He ought to make (much) more of this, cause this is very rare and hard to find. Bottle that I picked up from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Belgium. Consumed at Campsite in Koksidje, Belgium 12-06-09. Pours hazy orange amber with slim off-white head. The aroma is undeniably fruity with a definate touch of sweet cherries and some yeast. Soft mouthfeel, cherries showing but not as sharp as I expected and it was quite nice to have a sweeter cherry beer, there may well be more than a nod of artificialness about this but I liked it so don’t really give a toss. I enjoyed this it was uncomplicated and drinkable. A7 A4 F8 P4 Ov15 3.8 angrypirate06 (1388) - Texas, USA - JUN 2, 2010

A- Bubbly head like the foam you see at the ocean. The head dissipates pretty quickly to a nice lacing. Hazy orange with a red hue, the color reminded me of a Tequila Sunrise (the drink).
S- Sour lactic cherry and a whiff of booze, Smells very nice and just how I’d have expected.
T- There is a quick sharp bitter kick up front that I was not expecting but enjoyed especially as it mellowed out quickly. Sweet and Sour cherry, hay, hops, a bit of metal, and a mouthful of nutty cherry pit at the end which I really enjoyed. Aftertaste is clean, slightly sweet, nutty, and dry.
M&D- Effervescent and smooth, cleansed the palette and easy to drink. Felt very light on the tongue and in the mouth. thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 15, 2006
Bottle (only distinguished from the rest of the Gaverhopke range by the red cap) at Kulminator. Burgundy red with a fierce pinkish head that almost disappeared completely. Aroma is sweet fruit with a special sourness. Good sour flavours, countered by somewhat artificial sweetness and wood. Fruit is quite prominent. Good carbonation, long aftertaste. An interesting attempt at a kriek- with its good sourness it is probably best placed in the oud bruin category. Not so happy about the artificial sweetness, but it does not completely destroy a good beer. daniele (9550) - ITALY - AUG 22, 2008
