bottle 330 ml. Pours lightl hazy yellow. Small head. Weird aroma, something between hoppy pine and raw patatoe... Full bitter body, flavours are dusty and musty cellar damp, heavy hop cheese. Interesting.

An exceptional amount of gunk comes from the bottle leading to a cloudy, peachy appearance with no head. The aroma has some spice and funky wild yeast. This is replicated in the flavour together with some candy sweetness and bread dough.

Very nice hazy amber and copper coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall tan head with a nice lace, at least. Aroma of hops, belgian yeast, bread, light spices and a good deal of caster sugar and honey sweetness. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence; Strong rich malty flavour with some grass and crystal malts noticeable coupled with a touch of wheat and light hops, showing the strong sweetness, but even stronger yeast quality. Aftertaste is quite complex with the yeast strain being nice and rich, but also allowing for some sweetness and a touch of fruity flavours at the end, all with great carbonation throughout. Overall, a surprisingly good beer (it is from belgium afterall) with an even better label. I sampled this stubby 33 cL bottle purchased from Bier Tempel in Bruxelles, Belgium on 18-January-2015 for €2,95 sampled at home in Washington on 10-December-2015 after a long layoff after running the USMC Marathon in October 2015, i’ll be back to running thanks to this beer.

Bottle shared. Pours very hazy golden orange with a small off white head. Aroma of cat piss, unripe fruit, citrus, sharp pineapple, yeast and malt. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter with a touch of sourness. Light medium bodied with light carbonation.

Bouteille 33cl, BB02/2017.

The color is cloudy light orange, a prominent yeasty nose (earthy) with some fruits and citrus, hops to, strong bitter taste, medium agressive at first but it gets stronger, malt hints, toasted, dry with a bitterness that stays a while in the aftertaste, personally not my favorite, also the taste doesn’t last long in the glass

Commissioned beer for a sports club (quite ironically I would say, especially at this ABV...). Medium thick, dense but quickly opening, off-white head over a light orange blonde beer with vivid sparkling and a suspension of darker yeast bits divided equally throughout the liquid; adding the deposit gives it a cloudy appearance, but still warm orange. Aroma of unripe pineapple, sourdough, freshly cut red apples, lime zest, dried lemon peel, redcurrant, white bread, hints of goat cheese, wet hay, peach, nettles, dried ginger, white peppercorns, cumin seed and something sweaty. Crisp fruity onset, bit estery, lots of sourish berries, fresh apple, citrus fraîcheur, spritzy carbo, light and supple mouthfeel, grainy and lightly bready basis with ’weedy’ and spicy notes, some or other spice seed has been added, but I cannot figure out which one. A peppery, leafy, spicy hop bitterness shows up early, already in the middle phase, and gets stronger in the finish, assuring a long, dry, bittering ending, with an earthy and somewhat peachy yeasty flavour as well. Would have been better if it were a bit more clean, but at least it is hoppy enough with sufficient bitterness and does not show too many off-flavours, so in all, an enjoyable blonde. Reminds me a bit of their Congébier (latest version), but hoppier and better. Yet, seeing some of the other reviews here, I apparently have reason to be glad my bottle was not infected...
