kraddel (8888) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - SEP 19, 2016
Bottle from Kulminator. Since vintage gaverhopke Always seems like a nice idea ! Pours clear blonde, no head. Smell is wezk, very weak. Close to none, but you do get some oxidation. taste is sharp, a bitter note. mild oxidation. Just very damn wattery ! bit sweet in the back ( madeira ) . Ok, nothing really offensive ( accept for how weak it is, this should be a 1-2 % beer ) .

Alengrin (5722) - BELGIUM - OCT 17, 2014
UPDATED: NOV 17, 2014 Original Easter beer, tasted when it was still brewed by the former brewer. Off-white, thin but stable foam, brownish peach blonde colour, cloudy. Aroma of orange, rotten apples, strawberry, dough, coriander, honey, sour yoghurt and a whiff of H2S (sewer). Sweet but not cloying, fruity, estery, soft, honeyish, mild spiciness, soft caramelly finish with very light hop bitterishness. Strange, very artisanal to the point where it looked and tasted like some amateur hobby brew, but still relatively okay, in all.

Bottle 18 months past BB date - Golden colour. Aroma is yeasty and woody. Flavour is also dry and woody with quite a tart finish.

Countbeer (6599) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - FEB 22, 2014
Bottle: Past BB: Served in a Chouffe glass: Medium to smaller sized lively white foamy head on top of a hazy bright yellow colored beer. Aromas of yeast, citrus, lemon, peach, berries, grapes, tart, grains, some wilder yeast and flowery stone. Flavours of herbs, butter, grapes, berries, light tart, flowers, some lemon, some malts, soke bitters and yeast. Aftertaste is malty, yeasty, peach and grapes, bitters and cabbage. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy texture.

A - Golden and slightly hazy. It had a pretty thin head that was gone all too quickly. S - Sour, with a bit of barnyard funk , citrus and green apples. T - Mildly sour, unripe green apples, bit of the barnyard, but not as funky or sour as it smelled. Nothing too complex but very refreshing and tasty. Very clean and dry aftertaste that kept the palette refreshed and ready for more. M - This, to me, is where the beer takes off! Low carbonation (for a Belgian). Super smooth, and has that blood like consistency that you find in a very nice red wine or port. This was completely unexpected but very welcomed!

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a light yellow color with a white head. The aroma has some tart lemons in it, as well as some biscuit and bread malt and a little bit of sugar. The flavor is similar, with a little bit of tartness from the lemons, as well as some yeast, wheat and bread notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Cloudy amber beer. Crisp semi dry palate. Tart malt with well balanced orange and lemon. A little spice and the malt turns creamy. Seltzer like effervescence in the finish. Refreshing.
